The LEGO Group and Star Wars Have had quite an impressive year in 2024. Having celebrated both the 25th anniversary of LEGO Star Wars and the 25 of The Phantom Menace Specifically, LEGO has released some pretty cool models and minifigures to celebrate both occasions. To that end, there are only three sets left that have yet to be released in 2024.
LEGO has released a handful of updated models to celebrate The Phantom Menace Such as Darth Maul’s Sith Infiltrator (75383), a large model Droideka (75381), a Mos Espa Podrace Diorama (75380), and more. They also included exclusive characters that have never been minifigures with various new 2024 Star Wars sets as part of the LEGO Group’s own 25th anniversary with Star Wars In general, including Saw Gerrera, Nien Nunb, Cal Kestis, and more. However, here are the last three Star Wars LEGO sets are coming in 2024 (and when they are expected to be released).
Imperial Dropship vs Rebel Spider
40755
Expected to release October 1, Imperial Dropship vs Rebel Spider (40755) will reportedly consist of 383 piecesEffectively being two battle packs in one set. Although neither images nor the price have yet to be officially revealed, the set should come with 3 Stormtrooper minifigures and three Rebel Troopers. I would imagine the Rebels will be the same in this year’s boarding die Tantive IV (75387).
If true, the upcoming model should be a solid buy for collectors looking to improve upon the aforementioned. Tantive IV Set, or simply want to army build. It is also reported that the set will come with the latest 25th anniversary minifigure QT-KT. Qutee was the Pink Astromech who once served Jedi Master Ayala Secura and was a member of D-Squad during The Clone Wars With R2-D2. I’ve found each of the 25th anniversary figures released so far to be quite impressive, so I’m excited to see how this final one will turn out.
Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber
40730
Not unlike the blue-bladed version released in 2021, 2024 will reportedly feature a buildable version of Luke Skywalker’s green lightsaber heels that he wielded in Return of the Jedi. With 145 pieces, Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber (40730) should be a pretty fun addition to any. Star Wars LEGO fan’s collection, and is set for release in October.

However, it is worth noting that the model is expected to be a gift with purchase like the original Skywalker hilt. Back in 2021, the original cap was released as a gift with purchase alongside the Ultimate Collectors Series AT-AT. so too, Luke’s new lightsaber hilt is expected to be available in conjunction with the third and final LEGO Star Wars Set to come in 2024 (which is also a larger UCS model).
Jabba’s Sail Barge
75397
Last but certainly not least, 2024 will end with a final Collectors Series model of Jabba’s Sail Barge (75397). Jabba’s Sail Barge, which is expected to release on October 3, will be comprised of 3,942 pieces. As such, it should be quite a large amount overall. Likewise, this also explains the reported price tag of $499.99 in the US. Minifigures included with the sail barge are said to be Jabba the Hutt himself, Huttslayer Leia, R2-D2, C-3PO, Bib Fortuna, Salacious B. Crumb, Max Rebo, Klaatu, a Nikto, and a Gamorrean Guard.
One of the things I find most exciting about Jabba’s Sail Barge is the fact that 2024 already saw the release of Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit (75396). With the Sarlacc Pit also known as the Great Pit of Carkun, this smaller $80 Set released on August 1st is the perfect companion piece to Jabba’s Sail Barge. This is largely because it includes all the other main characters missing from the UCS set such as Luke Skywalker, Han Solo (with a blinded face print), Chewbacca, Lando Calrissian in his guard disguise and Boba Fett.
