Gilmore Girls is truly a seasonal classic for the holidays, and there is a Gilmore Girls Christmas episode that features Lorelai and Luke's perfect moment. Throughout their slow-moving will-they-won't-they relationship, Luke and Lorelai had some cute moments that signified how much care they had for each other. With the show's holiday episodes filled with whimsy and tradition, this may be why some of its most romantic moments took place in Gilmore Girls'Christmas Episodes.
Season 5, Episode 11, 'Women Of Questionable Morals' has one of my favorite Lorelai and Luke moments. It's so good it almost makes me forget all the truly questionable aspects of the episode. Even though the Gilmore Girls the cast has long since left the sleepy town of Stars Hollow, watching again Gilmore Girls'''Women Of Questionable Morals' always brings me back to the first time I watched Luke and Lorelai's relationship unfold.
'Women of Questionable Morals' is a Gilmore Girls Christmas classic
The episode celebrates the holiday without even mentioning it
Gilmore Girls'The best Christmas episodes are typically filled with celebrations of snow, community and family, and 'Women Of Questionable Morals' has it all. Although the episode never mentions Christmas, it contains all the elements that describe the magical holiday.including Lorelai's obsession with the beauty of the first snowfall. The episode also features the Stars Hollow reenactment group, who always perform live after the first snowfall of the season. Much to Lorelai's amusement and Luke's annoyance, the reenactment group has contributed to improving the town's ability to capture the Christmas spirit in Stars Hollow.
The episode shows the flaws of human error, but also reveals the beauty of the cold in bringing people together.
The episode also shows the slow reconciliation between Richard and Emily Gilmore after they discover and shelter a dog while waiting for its owner. The mysterious terrier brings the couple back together as they take turns caring for him, reminding them of their strong partnership and why they got married. “Women Of Questionable Morals” highlights the love of family, and there's nothing more Christmassy than reconnecting with distant family members. The episode shows the flaws of human error, but also reveals the beauty of the cold in bringing people together.
I think Luke making an ice rink for Lorelai is one of Gilmore Girls' best moments
Luke always shows his love through his actions
'Women Of Questionable Morals' begins with a quintessential Luke and Lorelai moment, as Lorelai drags Luke out of bed to experience their first snowfall together, while Luke begrudgingly follows. Furthermore, the episode begins with Lorelai's love for snow. But when it snows at the Dragonfly Inn, Lorelai is ready to break away from winter. She's always been a little eccentric and her love of snow is included in that, but Luke understands that it's a part of her, which is why building her an ice rink was so important.
Luke sees Lorelai for who she really is. He built her an ice rink to rekindle her love of snow. In true Luke fashion, he tells her, “I get grumpy about things, but I don't want you to be.“Although the couple may have better romantic moments in Gilmore GirlsLuke's ability to see and understand Lorelai in this scene is why I watch this episode annually. No one really understands Lorelai like Luke. There are many Gilmore Girls moments that I consider to be the best, and this one also easily makes the list.
Luke and Lorelai often had great moments in Christmas episodes
Her Most Romantic Moments Happened During Magical Season
Luke and Lorelai always had an amazing time together. Gilmore Girls'Christmas Episodes. The first Christmas episode of Gilmore Girls“Forgiveness And Stuff” is without a doubt one of the best. Shows Luke's love for Lorelai, years before Luke admits it to himselfwhile also showing off their incredible chemistry. I always enjoy rewatching this episode as it really highlights their relationship. Another amazing episode that showcases Luke and Lorelai's budding romance is “The Bracebridge Dinner.” Luke is as charming as ever, while Lorelai has never been so clumsy. I always find it a fun reread.
Christmas often brings out feelings of love and whimsy, but it also brings family together.
Luke's love for Lorelai was always revealed through actions rather than words, and her fight with Christopher in the Season 7 Christmas episode highlights this. I've always been a huge fan of Luke, and his fight with Christopher just proved how much he liked Lorelai. Christopher was always getting in the way. Christmas often brings out feelings of love and whimsy, but it also brings family together. As Luke learned throughout his relationship with Lorelai in Gilmore GirlsFamily gatherings can sometimes lead to fights, although not necessarily between family members themselves.
