Mother Teresa of Calcutta is a biopic that revolves around the life of the titular Catholic icon. It follows the familiar beats of most biopics, but Mother Teresa is a particularly fascinating historical figure, leading to a familiar but ultimately satisfying film. Most biopics live or die based on the lead actor’s performance, and Mother Teresa of Calcutta presents a very good.
Olivia Hussey plays Mother Teresa in the early 2000s TV movie, portraying the figure to stellar results. In truth, it is Olivia Hussey’s performance that allows Mother Teresa of Calcutta work so welleliminating the sometimes tiresome trappings of the genre. The film was released 35 years after Hussey got his big break in film, and his performance is definitely that of an actor who perfected his craft.

Hussey continued to show her mastery of the craft and why she was one of the best performers of her generation.
Olivia Hussey is particularly fantastic in All the right noises, which was his next big role just three years after his performance in Cheese and guava. Virus (1980)
Olivia Hussey as Marit
Virus is a particularly fun entry in Olivia Hussey’s filmography because it’s so different from most of what she’s done throughout her career. A 1980 Japanese post-apocalyptic science fiction film, Virus is notable for the significant amount of international actors featured, which is generally not common in the Japanese film industry. Oliva Hussey acts alongside American and Japanese actors including Glenn Ford, George Kennedy, Robert Vaughn and Masao Kusakari.
At the time of its release, Virus It was the most expensive Japanese film ever made, but it failed at the box office. It wasn’t until 2006, when the cut Japanese original with subtitles was released on home video, that the film received the recognition it deserved. Like always, Hussey is great in her role as Marit but doesn’t get much screen time, lost in the sea of other Japanese and international actors.

In fact, his version of the iconic character is without a doubt one of the best horror villains of all time. That doesn’t mean other actors aren’t doing a good job, too. Olivia Hussey gives a solid performance as Audra Denbrough, wife of protagonist Bill Denbrough (Richard Thomas), despite her character being in a catatonic state in most of her scenes.

It chronicles the life of Jesus Christ (Robert Powell), combining the four Gospels to create a compelling narrative. What Jesus of Nazareth does so well is explore who Jesus is as a character and as a person, rather than focusing on the theological aspect of what he wants to say. In doing so, it presents a fairly accurate portrait of Jesus the man and what his life was like.
Reuniting with her Cheese and guava Director, Franco Zeffirelli, Olivia Hussey plays Mary, the mother of Jesus and one of the most revered figures in Christianity. Black Christmas is an iconic entry in the horror film canon, and for good reason. It is one of the first films in the slasher genrehelping to pioneer slashers alongside films like Psychopath (1960) and Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974). It’s easy to see why it was so influential for the subgenre, as it’s a very good film, with a great sense of atmosphere and tension. It was also ahead of its time in terms of what it had to say about women’s autonomy in the horror genre.
Olivia Hussey in particular is incredible in Black Christmasplaying the protagonist Jess Bradford. The “final girl” trope is common in the slasher genre and Hussey’s Jess Bradford is among the best final girls in all of horror. She is a complex character who goes far beyond being someone who exists just to be killed, and Olivia Hussey is a big reason why Black Christmas it works so well, making it the best film she’s ever made.
