Kohei Horikoshi My Hero Academy concluded with chapter 430 of the manga, released on August 5, 2024. The final chapter explored the aftermath of the climate war, offering a glimpse into how everyone, especially Class 1-A, was moving forward. Although the class members continued their work as heroes, their individual progress remained somewhat unclear. To resolve this, the final volume of the series includes an additional chapter which delves deeper into their lives, including revealing the new Hero Billboard Chart rankings for members of Class 1-A.
This chapter reveals that sixteen members of Class 1-A have secured official rankings on Japan's Hero Billboard Chart. While Shoto Todoroki and Katsuki Bakugo dominate the top spots, Izuku Midoriya, aka Deku, has no ranking because he lost his quirk during the battle. final against All for One. Other characters, such as Koji Koda (Anima), Rikido Sato (Sugar Man) and Yuga Aoyama (Can't Stop Twinkling), work as companions, while Hitoshi Shinsou (NightHide) is missing from the rankings. Below is the ranking of the sixteen members, listed from lowest to highest.
16
Minoru Mineta
Ranked 108th
Minoru Mineta, a character that many fans believed would never get a rating, surprisingly achieved the position #108 on the Hero Billboard Chart of Japan (HBJ). The epilogue of My Hero Academy reveals that this is the first time Mineta has made the list, as he only recently achieved the ranking.
Given Mineta's unexpected success, it's plausible that Grape Juice could continue climbing the rankings. While it's hard to imagine him reaching the top ten, reaching the top fifty doesn't seem out of reach, especially with humor now being considered part of the metrics for measuring a hero's rank.
15
Denki Kaminari
Ranked 44th
Node Number 44 in HBJ is Denki Kaminariaka stun gun hero: Chargebolt. Chapter #431 My Hero Academy reveals that Kaminari created his own agency, located in a building adjacent to Kyoka Jiro's.
While fans were hoping the epilogue would confirm Kaminari and Jiro's relationship status, it hints at the possibility, especially since their dynamic seems evident to their classmates. It's refreshing to see My Hero Academy embracing such close relationships, especially in a genre where they are often left unexplored.
14
Toru Hagakure
Ranked 39th
Toru Hagakure, also known as Stealth Hero: Invisible Girl, secures 39th place on the HBJ chart. The epilogue of My Hero Academy also reveals that he opened his own agency, where his former colleague Yuga Aoyama now works as a companion.
Aoyama working at Invisible Girl's agency may once again hint at the bond between the two, something Kohei Horikoshi has highlighted throughout the series. It's been shown several times in the series that their quirks work very well together, so it makes sense for them to partner up.
13
Hanta Sero
Ranked 36th
Often referred to as the Spider-Man of My Hero AcademyHanta Sero, also known as the Taping Hero: Cellophane, ranks 36th on the HBJ chart. While the epilogue doesn't reveal much about him beyond that, it's likely that he opened an agency, similar to many of his classmates.
Sero's impressive rating is likely a testament to his work as a hero, especially his ability to apprehend enemies from a distance using his Quirk. With the number of villains decreasing by the day, it is possible that Sero's rating will rise even higher as he continues to capture the remaining, often petty criminals on the run, making a name for himself.
12
Tsuyu Asui
Ranked 34th
Tsuyu Asui, the hero of the rainy season: Froppy, occupies 34th position in HBJ. While the epilogue doesn't confirm whether she has her own agency, it appears that Froppy is working alongside Uravity at her agency.
Froppy's popularity in the rankings may stem from his likeability, especially among children. With Uravity's agency focused on helping children improve, Froppy has likely gained recognition and admiration through his contributions there.
11
Mashirao Ojiro
Ranked 32nd
Mashirao Ojiro, the martial arts hero: Tailman is just two places above Froppy, in 32nd place in the HBJ. While it's unclear whether he has his own hero agency, his rating likely reflects the appeal of his martial arts skills, which may have captivated fans.
It's easy to imagine Tailman running a martial arts school to teach children or his admirers. With Ojiro incorporating a traditional art from Japan, its ranking could continue to rise, contributing to a resurgence of interest in martial arts.
10
Kyoka Jiro
Ranked 30th
The Hearing Hero: headphone jack, Kyoka Jiro ranks 30th in HBJ. The final chapter confirms that Jiro has his own hero agency, although it's unclear whether his agency specializes in a specific area.
Although fans have been eager for confirmation of Jiro and Kaminari's relationship, it remains only hinted at. However, it seems likely that their bond will eventually develop in line with fans' expectations.
9
Mina Ashido
Ranked 28th
Ranking just two spots above her former classmate Jiro is Mina Ashido, Ridley's heroine: Pinky, secures 28th place in HBJ. This impressive ranking highlights the success of Ashido's solo career, as well as many of his classmates.
Known for her inspiring personality, it's clear she carries the same energy into her career as a pro heroine. Unfortunately, it has not yet been confirmed whether she has her own agency, and her relationship status is also shrouded in mystery, just like most of her colleagues.
8
Ochaco Uraraka
Ranked 24th
Placing in the top 25 at HBJ, Ochaco Uraraka, the Hero of Zero Gravity: Uravity, ranks 24th. Her high rating is undoubtedly a result of her remarkable work through her agency.
Uraraka runs an agency dedicated to teaching children how to control their quirks, a mission clearly inspired by her encounter with Himiko Toga. She is determined to prevent other children from suffering a similar fate. Furthermore, the ending confirmed that Uraraka and Deku are finally beginning a romantic relationship after all these years.
7
Momo Yaoyorozu
Ranked 19th
Momo Yaoyorozu, the hero of it all: Creati secures a position in the top 20 at HBJ, placing 19th. While the series finale doesn't confirm whether she has her own agency, it's clear that she is thriving in her career.
It's easy to imagine that Momo could have her own agency, possibly focused on educating children or using her quirk to create innovations that benefit society. Her success was evident from the start, so it's no surprise that she is among the top heroines and holds the highest position among the girls in her class.
6
Fumikage Tokoyami
Ranked 17th
Fumikage Tokoyami, the Jet-Black Hero: Tsukuyomi, ranks 17th on the HBJ chart. With such a high position, it is possible that Tsukuyomi will have his own agency or continue the legacy of Hawks' agency, as no one seems better suited to succeed him.
Tokoyami has consistently proven himself to be one of the most powerful characters in the series, making him a likely choice among heroes to summon in dire situations. Embodying darkness, Tsukuyomi may have her own dedicated following, which could explain her impressive ranking.
5
Katsuki Bakugo
Ranked 15th
Fan favorite Katsuki Bakugo, also known as Kacchan, or by his hero name, Explosive Hero: Big Explosion Assassination God Dynamight, currently sits at #15 on the HBJ chart. Although Bakugo initially debuted at 4th place, his ranking fell to 15th, largely due to his dislike among fans – a trait hilariously suited to his fiery personality.
The ending confirms that Kacchan has his own agency, where he extends an invitation to Deku to join, but is turned down. While it's clear that Kacchan has the potential to climb the rankings again, his infamous temper could easily cause his ranking to drop even further. Even so, he remains a prominent character, continuing to prosper in his career, even getting All Might's signature on his card.
4
Tenya Ida
Ranked 13th
Tenya Ida, the Turbo Hero: Ingenium ranks slightly higher than Bakugo, coming in at #13 on the HBJ chart. He is one of the characters emphasized for doing exceptionally well.
While it is still unclear whether Ida has her own agency or operates alone, her high rating is undoubtedly due to her incredible speed, allowing her to reach crime scenes faster than others. Combining his quick crime-fighting skills with his likable personality, Ingenium is ready to climb the ranks even higher.
3
Eijiro Kirishima
Ranked 11th
Just a few positions before reaching the top 10, Eijiro Kirishima, the Sturdy Hero: Red Riot, currently sits at #12 on the HBJ chart. In the last chapter, Kirishima reveals that he only recently embarked on his solo hero career.
Previously, Kirishima worked at the agency Fatgum, whose rating is only slightly higher than that of Red Riot. Known for embodying the ideals of chivalry, Kirishima likely gained followers who shared his belief in this noble code. With his solo career just beginning, Red Riot appears well positioned to climb further up the rankings.
2
Mezo Shoji
Ranked 9th
Mezo Shoji, also known as the Tentacle Hero: Tentacole, occupies 9th position in the HBJ table, making him one of three members of Class 1-A to enter the top 10. Shoji played a pivotal role in the series' final war, challenging and combating social racism.
This impact is reflected in the career of Tentacole, who now runs her own agency, where her former colleague, Anima, works as a companion. Tentacole's position highlights society's changing attitude towards heteromorphs, underlining the transformative effects of the final war.
1
Shoto Todoroki
Ranked 2nd
Shoto Todoroki aka AirCon Hero: Shoto rose to #2 on the HBJ chart, right behind Mirio Togata. The last chapter reveals that the members of Class 1-A have gathered to celebrate Shoto's achievement, hinting at his recent rise to this position.
Additionally, the chapter highlights Todoroki's personal feelings about being a hero. Although he recognizes this as a duty, Shoto also enjoys eating and announces his plan to take pottery classes so he can eat from containers he makes himself. The final chapter of My Hero Academy offers a glimpse into the lives of the members of Class 1-A after the time jump, showing how well everyone is doing, with almost everyone earning official hero ranks.
