The stars of LA Suits. explained the dynamics of the law firm, including how the spinoff series will create certain conflicts between the main characters. The next LA Suits The series follows a California law firm, as a prosecutor-turned-lawyer, Ted Black (Stephen Amell), joins a firm that specializes in representing high-profile clients. His co-workers include his friend and criminal lawyer Stuart Lane (Josh McDermitt), alongside attorneys Rick Dodson (Bryan Greenberg) and Erica Rollins (Lex Scott Davis). The show was also created by Suits creator Aaron Korsh, teasing some familiarity with the setting and characters.
Talking to Weekly entertainmentthe cast of LA Suits explained how the office dynamics will work, specifically some conflicts that the characters will face among themselves. McDermitt teased a “breaking point“in the companywith Amell saying that his relationship with his friend is not as stable as Ted imagines:
Ted doesn't think there's anything wrong with their relationship – I think Stuart might disagree.
Greenberg teased some potential conflict between Rick and Ted, as the former isn't willing to go as far as the latter to win his cases:
Ted wants to win at all costs, and Rick wants to win, but maybe not at all costs. It comes back to bite [Ted]in Rick's case.
And finally, Davis explained how Erica's attempts to push herself in a male-dominated workplace while competing with Rick for the head of entertainment position will cause his storyline to become more developed as the show continues:
Erica is fighting for the things she deserves in this male-dominated space – she's playing hardball with the guys, that's for sure.

This dramatic approach could foster some important divergences in the future, possibly resulting in the realization of some unexpected developments. What will actually happen between the four cores, however, will not be fully realized until the series finally begins.
