Nexon, the studio behind the popular 2000s MMO maplestory, has launched a new game in the MapleStory Franchise. For the uninitiated, MapleStory is a massively popular free 2D MMORPG with cute sprites, developed by Wizet and published by Nexon. It was released in 2003, earning it a nostalgic place in many players’ hearts, being the first MMO for many youngsters of the era.

MapleStory Has continued to run since its release, receiving updates and spinoffs for other consoles, but the announcement of a new game in the franchise comes as a bit of a surprise. The new game is titled MapleStory Worlds and will allow players to Use the iconic MapleStory style and sprites to design their own worlds.
