What does this mean for Nosferatu?

Became a more competitive competitor

While the Nosferatus cast was snubbed by the Critics Choice Awards, the fact that it was nominated for four technical awards is an impressive achievement. In fact, it has proven to be a competitive title, scoring almost as many nominations as other awards season favorites including Sing Sing and Nickel Boysboth of which earned five Critics Choice Awards nominations each, as well as anora and The substanceboth with seven. The only films that earn more than that are Best Picture contenders The Brutalist (9), Dune: Part Two (10), Emilia Pérez (10), Evil (11), and Conclave (11).

This announcement could also mean good things for the film's Oscar chances. Nosferatus redo. Because the Golden Globes have more potential nominations than other awards due to many categories split between the “Drama” and “Musical or Comedy” genres, the fact that Eggers' film has been recognized so many times on the Critics Choice Awards' most selective list could weigh even more heavily amid awards season's overall horror offerings (which also includes Abigail and Beetle juice Beetle juice in addition to Heretic and The substance), potentially indicating that it will appear on Oscar ballots when the time comes.

These four Critics Choice Awards nominations for Nosferatus could also indicate that this could be the best awards season for Robert Eggers. While The Lighthouse was nominated for an Oscar for Best Cinematography, becoming his first (and so far only) Oscar-nominated film, but was only nominated for two Critics Choice Awards. The Witch was nominated for just one Critics Choice Award and his third film, The Northmanreceived no nominations. Additionally, none of his films have received Golden Globe nominations, so these four Critics Choice nominations may indicate a more robust path to success than his three previous films.
