Ryan Hansen as Jake: Hansen plays Abby’s boyfriend, Jake. Although he doesn’t appear on the show very often, he is an important member of Abby’s life. Night Court season two revealed that Dan may be Jake’s biological father in an exciting twist.
Julia Duffy as Susan: Duffy plays Jake’s mother, Susan, in Night Court. His appearances are limited, but they are an important part of the search for Jake’s father. A key scene with her involves a conversation between her and Abby as Abby tries to uncover the truth.
Night Court was a TV comedy that ran for nine seasons between 1984 and 1992. The series revolves around Harry Anderson’s character Harry T. Stone, a presiding judge who works at the night court in Manhattan. In 2023, the series was brought back by NBC, this time starring Melissa Rauch as the new Manhattan Municipal Court judge.
