Night Court Season 3 images reveal first look at 2 returning characters

The first photos of Night Court Season 3 spotlights two returning characters. Set to debut its third installment in just a matter of weeks, the reboot will go ahead after a significant change to the Night Court Type of letters. India de Beaufort reprises her role as Olivia, with sitcom veteran Wendy Malick reprising the role of Julianne Walters as a series regular. She is one of several familiar faces who will make their way back to the courtroom-focused comedy.

TV Insider has unveiled the first photos of Night Court Season 3, what Premieres Tuesday, November 19 on NBC at 8 PM ET And streams on peacock. The photos highlight The return of Veronica Mars Ryan Hansen as JakeWith whom Abby (Melissa Rauch) is just starting a relationship. Newhart Actor Julia Duffy also returns as Susan, having previously appeared in the season 2 finale as a guest at Roz's (Marsha Warfield) wedding. The photos, included below, focus on Abby visiting Susan in the hospital. The other photos highlight Abby and Jake chatting with Dan and Julian.

What the returning characters mean for Night Court Season 3

Julian shakes things up

Duffy will appear in the premiere of Night Court Season 3, which will reportedly consist of 18 episodes. Based on the photo, Abby will visit Susan in the hospital and carry some flowers. More is known about Jake, with the season 2 finale teasing this Hansen's returning character could be the son of Dan Fielding (John Larroquette). The title of the premiere is a nod to this, as it is called "the judge's boyfriend's father".

The third installment will also put a heavy focus on Julianne. The new regular is a reformed prisoner who is now a prosecutorFilling the void created by Olivia's absence. Malik previously talked about how the unstable Julian could practice law. The actor mentioned that this is thanks to a second chance program, which Ambitions Abi, and this means that Julian can go back to her old job, as long as she did not show any strange behavior and stay on her medication.

Along with the storylines that await Gurgs (Lacretta) and Wyatt Shaw (Niambi Niambi), showrunner Dan Rubin and the rest of the Night Court Team have a chance to make a change with Hansen's return. Judge Abby Stone has been unlucky in love so far. Even with the connection to Fielding, perhaps Jake could be the one to hold on after a string of romantic disappointments.
