There were many adaptations Cinderella to the screen, but only a few of them are musicals. This 2021 version of the tale features Fifth Harmony alum Camila Cabello as the titular character and Nicholas Galitzine as the prince.
The film was widely panned by critics for trying to do too many things with the classic story that just didn't fit. Not everyone liked the fact that it was a jukebox musical, expecting it to use songs already associated with Cinderella from one of his other musical versions.
Despite all this, Galitzine's performance as Prince Robert was not a criticism of the film. He's utterly charming and capable as the handsome prince who falls in love with Cinderella, but also wants to build a better life for himself rather than simply remaining comfortable.

Purple Hearts is a divisive Netflix original film. This helped gain Galitzine attention for his dramatic abilities, but also drew strong reviews from critics.
The film features Galitzine as a soldier and Sofia Carson as a waitress and aspiring singer who agree to get married just to share in the military benefits that would come with it. When he is injured in the line of duty, the fake marriage becomes that much more real.
At once dramatic and romantic, the film can definitely touch the heart. Her Netflix numbers benefited from the fact that Carson's fan base had grown up with her while watching her on the Disney Channel and wanted to see her in a more mature role. Although Galitzine showed great dramatic range, the content of the film itself was criticized for being so pro-military, using racist language and having a lot going on in the script.

The Beat Beneath My Feet (2014)
Like Tom
The beat beneath my feet marks Nicholas Galtizine's screen debut. It's unusual for someone's first film to also be considered one of their best, but Galitzine also has a relatively young screen career at the time of writing. It's entirely possible that many movies and TV shows will one day surpass The beat beneath my feet. At this moment, however, is one of Galitzine's best films and one of his best coming-of-age stories.
Galitzine stars as a young man who discovers that a new neighbor who doesn't get along with his mother is actually a rock star many believe to be dead. He extorts help from his neighbor: he won't tell anyone that the man is alive, as long as he teaches him to play the guitar like a rock star.
This premise is a little peculiar for a musically inclined coming-of-age story, but it works. This provides a bit of an edge to the story as the guitar riffs are learned. Luke Perry also shines as an aging rock star.

Share (2019)
Like A.J.
To share It's not an easy watch. While many Galitzine fans may be accustomed to lighter fare from the actor because of projects like Cinderella and other romantic comedies, To share It's not one of those. Galitzine also plays a supporting role rather than a leading role.
To share follows a teenager (Rhianne Barreto) who discovers that a video of her unconscious, surrounded by teenagers and wearing very little clothing, has been shared online. She has no memory associated with anything in the video and seeks to find out what happened to her. The deeper she delves, however, the more she is ostracized by her classmates.
It's a moving film and everyone's performances, not just Barreto and Galitzine, are excellent. To share presents a compelling story that is sure to make audiences, especially younger ones living in the digital age, think.

Highly Tense (2016)
Like Johnny
Although on the surface this film seems like almost any other art story, it also provides the audience with some modern social commentary.
Galitzine seems to have a special taste for films that involve music. In addition to films that involve singing and guitar, he also appears in a film that involves dancing and violin. Here, he plays the violin.
Highly tense follows a young dancer (Keenan Kampa) who is accepted into a prestigious program in New York on a scholarship. She struggles with contemporary instructions. His path crosses with a violinist who plays for hire on the subway and ends up having his violin and his earnings stolen. The two team up to create a new program to save her scholarship and secure a spot for him on the program.
Although on the surface this film seems like almost any other art story, it also provides the audience with some modern social commentary. Galitzine's violinist is a young British man living illegally in New York, so he doesn't report the theft of his grandfather's violin. This also provides the catalyst for him to become interested in becoming a student so he can obtain a student visa.
Galitzine does a great job of capturing both the love of music and the desperation of someone who just wants to live their life.

Contemporary television has certainly had a love affair with historical dramas. From the CW Reign for Netflix Bridgertonthere is a sense that the public wants not just the story but also the scandal, and Mary and George accomplish this.
The limited series chronicles the relationship between James VI of Scotland and George Villiers, the 1st Duke of Buckingham. Mary Villiers (Julianne Moore) manipulates her son George (Galitzine) into seducing James VI (Tony Curran) to help her family maintain power while James is about to become king of Scotland and England.
Critics say the show plays fast and loose with historical facts, but fans will be more intrigued by the series' political power plays and the cast's outrageous performances. Galitzine gets involved in a much soapier project with this one than he would normally undertake.

Although Nicholas Galitzine had already been acting for several years when he was cast in Red, white and royal bluethe film could easily be considered the actor's big break. The Amazon film helped introduce Galitzine to an even wider audience outside of Britain, especially as the film adapts the 2019 novel of the same name, which already had a large following.
The romantic comedy follows the son (Taylor Zakhar Perez) of the president of the United States and the British prince (Galitzine) as the two teenagers fall in love. Their previous rivalry causes the two to be forced into public relations damage control by their parents, and spending so much time together allows the two to get to know each other and grow closer.
For the first three weeks that the film was available on Amazon's Prime Video service, it maintained its top position. It was also responsible for inaugurating a new wave of subscribers to the service (via People). Galitzine shines both in this role and in Red, White and Royal Bluedemonstrating great affinity with romantic comedies.
When The idea of you First released, it earned comparisons to fan fiction featuring members of boy bands like One Direction. The romantic comedy, however, won hearts even more than its source material, a novel of the same name by Robinne Lee. This is largely due to the romantic comedy's charismatic performances from Galitzine and lead Anne Hathaway.
The idea of you centers on a single mother (Hathaway) to a teenage girl who ends up taking her daughter and her friends to Coachella for a date with a popular band when her husband can't attend. There she meets one of the musicians (Galitzine), 16 years younger than her, but sparks fly. They first form a friendship after he makes grand gestures, such as dedicating songs to her on stage and purchasing artwork from the gallery she manages. They eventually begin an on-and-off romance.
Part of the appeal of The idea of you is that the story is well aware of the age difference between its characters and addresses those differences head-on. Hathaway's character initially resists dating someone younger, which is why there is so much back and forth in their relationship. They have believable chemistry and provide the audience with a satisfying conclusion when it looks like her celebrity might get in the way of her relationship with her daughter.

Nicholas Galitzine is a more versatile actor than some imagine him to be.
Although Galitzine is not the star of the Bottomthe film still delivers its best performance to date. It's a far cry from his recent romantic comedy roles, but it also proves how great his comedic range is.
Bottom is a satirical teen comedy, so all the characters play off their heightened personalities, bordering on stereotypical. It follows a pair of high school girls who start a fight club at their school with the hopes of using the club to meet up with cheerleaders. Galitzine stars as the football team's quarterback, dating one of those cheerleaders. He also continually cheats on her and makes excuses for it, but Galitzine's delivery of these apologies is impeccable.
The film was nominated for a number of awards on the film festival circuit, but did not win many of them. However, it won GLAAD Media's Best Film – Wide Release award. It's a great sign that Nicolau Galitzine He is a more versatile actor than some might believe.
