Venomverse: Rebirth #4 – written by Justina Ireland, with art by Ken Lashley – takes readers to an alternate continuity where the Dora Milaje are the candidates to be the next Black Panther, and also the next ruler of Wakanda. They train as hard as they can, their entire lives, just to see if they are chosen. However, it’s not just the queen they have to impress, but her Venom symbiote as well.

As shown in Venomverse: Rebirth #4, after training all her life and beating her rivals, Okoye is finally able to face off against the Venom symbiote. While she wants to submit to it, she does promise an equal partnership and true symbiosis, and that’s what earns you the title of Black Panther. The new look is a perfect blend between the iconic Venom and the famous Black Panther suit And even give Venom’s look a new twist with some fearsome fangs emerging from Okoye’s stomach.

One of the most iconic elements of Venom’s design has always been his incredibly long and sharp teeth. Paired with his freakishly long tongue, this is an instantly recognizable appearance no matter what color or shape Venom takes. Considering the Black Panther handle is equally iconic, it seems that Marvel decided to have the best of both worlds, as Okoye still sports the recognizable Black Panther handle, but also has the iconic elongated fangs protruding from her stomach. It’s a freaky look that perfectly blends the most recognizable parts of two different heroes.

Not only does this new Venom/Black Panther design look fantastic, but it is Also truly worth being used by what might be one of the strongest Venoms readers have seen so far. It’s less that Okoye wants real physical power than Venom, but the fact that she wants the full military and technological power of Wakanda as its queen. This fact alone makes Okoye a candidate for the most powerful Venom in the multiverse. Wakanda has always been one of the strongest nations on earth, with their technology centuries ahead of America, and all the power is at Okoye’s fingertips.
