More Godzilla is on the way. The Japanese Kaiju The franchise, which follows the giant irradiated lizard wreaking havoc or defending humanity from other giant monsters, began in 1954. It has since expanded to include 33 Japanese-speaking characters. Godzilla films and five English-language episodes (most of which are part of Legendary's Monsterverse, which also includes Kong: Skull Island). Toho produced and distributed all of the Japanese episodes, most recently the commercially and critically successful 2023 Godzilla minus one.
Through Official Godzilla Account X, Toho has now announced that a new Godzilla film received green light. The film will once again be led by Godzilla minus one writer, director and visual effects supervisor Takashi Yamazaki. See their post below:
