A new Netflix thriller is beating some of the year's biggest box office hits in the latest streaming rankings. Because of strike delays related to writer and actor strikes, and also because of the time it can take for prestige series to go through production, Netflix made it known that some of its biggest originals would not have a 2024 release date. This includes the Jenna Ortega-led supernatural horror Wednesday and the last season of Stranger Things.
The streamer was boosted by the huge success of the romantic comedy series Nobody wants thatled by Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, which has become one of the most discussed new series. The Diplomat 2nd season and Monsters: The Story of Lyle and Erik Menendez built on the foundations of its first plots, with External Banks, Bridgertonand Lincoln's lawyer all continuing to attract massive audiences. A recently released thriller could end up being a significant hit.

It's a very easy watch
The secret weapon of the British espionage saga Outside of its excellent casting is its tone management. The show takes its characters and the situation seriously, but still manages to have fun. With its holiday setting and only six episodes, it's no surprise that reviews and the reception has been great so far. It is also not surprising that Black Doves season 2 is confirmed.
