Ahead of the premiere of Daredevil: Born AgainConcept art reveals that Charlie Cox’s Marvel Cinematic Universe hero almost got his classic logo from a previous TV show. One of the most popular heroes of the Marvel-Netflix era will make a comeback to the MCU timeline in 2025, with Cox headlining. Daredevil: Born Again. Thankfully, despite the long wait, the MCU has been planting the seeds for its upcoming series after numerous appearances during Phase 4.
One of the great concept art pieces that appeared in Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding (via The artbook collector) was an alternate look for Cox’s Daredevil during his appearances in She-Hulk: Lawyer. The MCU came very close to seeing Cox’s Devil of Hell’s Kitchen finally sport the beloved DD logo on his costumeWhich can be seen below:
Although not featured in the finalized version of the suit, The Disney+ series has finally adopted the famous yellow-and-red costume for Cox during his Daredevil guest spots in She-Hulk: Lawyer. The last time he was seen in the MCU was during the Echo premiere of the series, showing him back in his Daredevil costume from the Netflix TV show.
What Marvel Studios’ scrapped Daredevil costume design means for Charlie Cox’s MCU future
There has been no official statement from anyone at Marvel Studios as to why they continued to exclude the DD logo from Cox’s Daredevil uniforms. Even still Daredevil: Born Again It doesn’t appear that the Phase 5 TV show incorporated this detail into the hero’s suit, which was glimpsed through the set photos. However, the MCU concept art could serve as a sign of hope for the Devil from Hell’s Kitchen.
Perhaps the reason why Daredevil did not have the logo in it She-Hulk: Lawyer Is possibly to save the moment for Cox’s real Daredevil: Born Again TV show. to a degree It would feel like a coup for Matt to upgrade his Daredevil costume with the beloved logo on it, but on a different hero series. For fans who have followed Cox’s version of Daredevil since the Netflix days, it would be especially rewarding if they got to see the final piece come to fruition via Daredevil: Born Again.
Our take on the New MCU Daredevil costume concept art
Despite not getting the logo for his She-Hulk: Lawyer episodes, It is always possible that Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again Series will finally bring this symbol to life, whether it is in seasons 1 or 2. This would not only be a nice nod to the hero’s conventional comic costume, but also a way to help tie the old and new eras of Daredevil together. hope, Daredevil: Born Again will complete Cox’s MCU suit after all these years.
