After rocketing to fame thanks to his role as Jim in The officeKrasinski has been involved in a variety of popular creative projects, such as directing and writing A peaceful placealongside starring in Prime Video’s previously mentioned action series. While Jack Ryan season 5 is not happening, he is working on a film that will serve as a sequel to the series.

In addition to these more popular projects, Krasinski has remained busy in Hollywooddirecting, writing and producing the 2024 family fantasy film IF. He was also a producer of the Paramount+ film Rosemary’s Baby prequel Apartment 7A and A peaceful place: first dayall three films produced by him and Allyson Seeger’s Sunday Night Productions. He’ll soon star in Guy Ritchie’s heist film Fountain of Youth also. Given his many credits over the past few years, he’s clearly broadening his horizons when it comes to making new films and shows, taking risks in creating new stories for wide audiences.

The Show extends Sunday Night Productions contract with studio

Krasinski’s next big project with Prime Video will be Silent Rivera thriller series whose title, premise and production information were recently revealed. This marks the second major thriller project the actor has embarked on for the streaming service. Not only his previous role in Jack Ryan warrants a film, but also a spinoff starring Michael Peña’s Ding Chavez, which is currently in development.

Now, Deadline reports Krasinski will star in Prime Video thriller series Silent River alongside Matthew Rhys, part of Sunday Night Productions’ extended deal with Amazon MGM Studios. The show, created by Jack Ryan Writer Aaron Rabin follows his two leads as they realize a deeper connection between them than they realize as their small town is terrorized by a serial killer. Krasinski will direct the first episode and several others in Season 1, while Rabin will executive produce.

Another alumnus of the previous series, Andrew Bernstein, will executive produce and direct the show. Sunday Night Productions will see Krasinski, Seeger and Alexa Ginsberg representing the studio as executive producers as well. Amazon MGM Studios head of television Vernon Sanders also weighed in, expressing excitement about developing the thriller series and reteaming with its lead star for the project.
