The title of J-Roman Club’s The 100th time is the charm: she was executed 99 times, so how did she unlock the “super love” mode?! That’s not the only wild aspect of this new isekai manga. His name is just as deceiving as it is ridiculous, as it allows Alfina to hear the thoughts of men who just happen to be in love with her. The fact that they love you, however, is why the underlying message is so dark.
The reason why Alfina has been executed so many times is because she is one of many villains who unfortunately have such terrible fates that usually start with being falsely accused of something. Alfina, however, is the rare kind of villain who is actually from the world where the story takes place. In fact, Alfina’s predicament is a more extreme version of what happens to a similar villain, Risha who is also from her original world in the Crunchyroll series 7th time loop: The villain enjoys a carefree life married to her worst enemy! The big difference, however, is that Risha cannot read minds. However, that could just be because she still has to die 94 times like Alfina did before she unlocked “Super Love” mode.
The 100th time the charm underscores the lengths letters can go to lie

Regardless, what’s so pitch-black about Alfina being telepathic is that all the characters who glibly condemn her for what she’s framed for apparently feel very differently based on their thoughts that Alfina can read. What they think creates the impression that they are very much in love with you. The juxtaposition between this and what they say to Alfina to her face is striking just because of how much they differ.
On one level, it shows how much of a convincing facade people can put up. On the other hand, it says a lot about the characters’ devotion to the law despite their personal feelings, because they can support something that is obviously against what they feel so passionately about. It is similarly twisted, however, since they also harbor considerable hatred for Alfina, Which creates the impression that something is forcing them to appear as if they don’t like Alfina.
On yet another level, the reader’s understanding of the “super love” mode of chapter 1 is what is noteworthy. There is no indication that the power she unlocked the 100 times around also made them fall in love with her. So the reader is led to believe that the characters have always felt this way and that they still execute her every time regardless. The only difference is that Alfina knows what they are thinking, so she can exploit their true feelings. The understanding is very obscure only because the manga went to great lengths to explain that Alfina tried many different tactics, and each one obviously failed.

Villainy series are becoming more common in the isekai genre, but some really stand out
Without reading this, the fact that she has been through 99 times only further cements how inescapable her fate is. In this way, the character’s aforementioned dedication to the law is fully emphasized, despite how they feel otherwise. This is especially the case with one character in particular whose answers were exactly the same every time. This relatively minor understanding of the character is actually incredibly huge, because it’s a very drastic way to show how determined someone can be. Hopefully, future chapters will explore this further just because the lack of change in so many instances promises just as shocking an explanation as its actual determination.
Like the rarest of stories like 7 time loopNot many other manga or anime have explored the protagonist’s ability to read minds except for Lady Eleanor from The savage who can read minds is also today playing with her puppy-like Prince. Interestingly, the focus on how both villains use their powers is when they read the minds of those who love them, but how The 100th time is the charm It is differentiated by more stereotypical means – survival.
That said, The 100th time is the charm: she was executed 99 times, so how did she unlock the “super love” mode?! is not subject to the usual problems that most telepathic characters deal with, including Eleanor, who was attracted to her love interest because he was the only one who did not have any negative thoughts about her. Alfine suffered the exact opposite, with people treating her badly to her face, and the difference, narrative-wise, is a good thing.
