New Heritage Image Offers a Closer Look at Phoebe Dynevor's Worldwide Espionage Adventure

A new initial image shows the international adventure in the center of Heritage. The 2025 spy thriller was directed by Neil Burger (Divergent, The Illusionist), who also co-wrote the script with Olen Steinhauer (creator of Epix's Berlin Station). Follow Maya (Bridgerton(Phoebe Dynevor), a young woman who reconnects with her father (Rhys Ifans from Dragon House and Venom: The Last Dance) after his mother's death, only to be drawn into her secret life as a spy. The cast of the next Heritage also includes Ciara Baxendale, Kersti Bryan, Daniel Joey Albright, Mitchell Hochman and Majd Eid.

TelaRant now able to share an exclusive first image of Heritage. The image reveals Maya on one of her adventures, trying to blend in at an open-air bazaar with Urdu signage. Although it appears to be a relatively peaceful scene, there are several figures behind her, some looking in her direction and others in shadow, which serve to emphasize the feeling that she is being watched. This image serves to highlight just how out of element Maya really is. and as she delves into the dangerous world of espionage. There are many ways in which she feels isolated from the world she knows, especially considering the fact that she mostly travels alone during her mission. However, the sudden discovery of her father's true identity has likely made her restless and unsure of who to trust, which is compounded by the fact that she is constantly surrounded by strangers.

This feeling is accentuated by the distance she is from her home territory. Although the Bridgerton star is English, and her co-star Rhys Ifans is Welsh, their accents in the trailer for Heritage seems to suggest that both characters are Americans, even though they spend very little time in the United States throughout the story. Instead of, Heritage takes them far away, to countries like Egypt, India and South Korea.

It seems likely that this new Heritage the image is taken from a relatively early scene in the film. This is the case because although her situation is difficult, Maya will grow up to embrace her new life in the world of espionage throughout the upcoming spy film, at least to some extent. Several scenes show her becoming much softer and more self-assured despite being forced to quickly adapt to a major change in circumstances.
