How Alarum sets the stage for a tense and thrilling action story
Eastwood and Stallone against the world
Alarm is directed by Michael Polishwhose latest directorial credits include the Mel Gibson-led action film Force of Nature and western film Terror on the Prairie starring Gina Carano. This film comes right after the end of King of Tulsa Season 2, which saw Stallone continue his role as mob boss Dwight “The General” Manfredi. It promises a strong spotlight on the star through its action set pieces, with the trailer revealing a close bond between Chester and Joe as they face off against Colter's character and his army.
There's also expected to be a lot of action for Fitzgerald's Laura, as she will be fighting to get back to Joe as more armored soldiers continue to try to kill them. The larger story revolves around a mysterious group called the “Alarum,” an association that seemingly gets the main characters into trouble early on. However, with plenty of explosions, battle scenes, and gun-toting heroes throughout the story, it looks like Stallone's next project will be packed with non-stop, high-octane storytelling as a larger conspiracy unfolds.
Alarum's New Image Teases Exciting Intrigue Ahead
It leaves a lot open about how the film develops
The image of Eastwood pointing a gun may be simple, but it is also effective in showing the focus of the film's action. Given that there's still a lot of action that the film's trailers have yet to reveal, the image only offers a small taste of what to expect from the film and its protagonists. With the film arriving in Janaury next year, it won't be long until the mysteries surrounding Alarm are finally brought to light.
