Warning: HUGE spoilers ahead for Territory season 1.Netflix Territory tells the story of the Lawson family’s island battle as a new heir is sought to take control of their Australian cattle ranch, and the politics of the entire scenario lead to some big moments – the biggest of which is revealed in the opening moments of the story. debut. Certain members of the Territory The cast doesn’t make it to the end of the show’s inaugural season, and some barely appear at all. However, everyone has a very important role to play and Each character’s departure creates a huge impact not just on Marianne Stationbut also its competitors.
Territory The season one finale makes it clear that Netflix’s Australian neo-Western show has plans to continue the story. Not every character dies in Territory season one is confirmed as the finale ends, leaving some compelling questions about the series’ potential future. The biggest developments are well-spaced throughout the six episodes, highlighting how crucial they could end up being in the broader narrative. Although most appear out of nowhere, one of TerritoryMain characters foreshadow the death of a vital character before the first episode barely begins.
Territory season 1 opening scene is a flashforward after Susie’s death
Emily Lawson’s narration teases Susie’s grisly end
On first observation, Emily Lawson’s monologue at the beginning of Territory the first season seems to be just a general summary of what it’s like to live at Marianne Station. Sure, she also seems vaguely emotional, but without any context, it’s easy to quickly forget her bleary-eyed behavior — which could, in theory, be caused by absolutely anything. After Susie’s brutal and untimely death in episode 6, it becomes much more obvious that TerritoryThe opening scene shows Emily reflecting on the loss of her daughter.
“Everything here is trying to kill you. The climate, the land… the animals.” -Emily Lawson.
Susie’s death before one of the Lawson Family’s bulls is difficult to predict until shortly before it happens. The show heavily implies that, before his death, Susie was one of the favorites to inherit Marianne Station of his grandfather. As such, it seems unlikely that Territory I would choose to kill her. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happens in the penultimate episode of season 1. So when Emily’s opening monologue is analyzed after Susie’s death, the pause before, “…the animals“seems much more prominent and much more moving.
The next scene also foreshadows Susie’s cause of death.
The bull training scene is equally vital in predicting how Susie will die
The scene that immediately follows Emily’s mourning returns the show to the present day. Territory continues to accumulate clues here about how Susie will end up dying. The new Marianne Station recruits are thrown into the bullpen, and Emily berates them for their body language and has to intervene to keep them from getting hurt. The general message of the warning is that if they show fear, the bull will come back and hurt the others later – thinking he is the “boss.”
“You back off, you’re teaching that bastard that he’s the boss and he will [after] every person he meets after that, and this is how people get killed.” -Emily Lawson.
Susie isn’t present in this scene, but it’s hard to ignore Emily’s accurate prediction and not associate it with the way Susie dies in episode 5. Territory It doesn’t come full circle here, however. The two bulls are completely different colors, so it’s obvious the animal at the beginning of episode 1 is not the one that fatally attacks Susie. However, the fact that it was one of the bulls that Susie bought with her own money to save Marianne Station makes the scene even more disturbing.
Emily Lawson’s narration in the territory’s first scene could reveal something more about the show’s future
Territory Season 2 Could Be the Show’s Final Release (If Renewed)
Although Territory the first season ends on a cliffhanger, Territory Season 2 has not yet been announced. If so, then one more batch of episodes could very well be all the Netflix show needs to wrap up its story. Emily’s first line in the season 1 opening, which by extension becomes the show’s first general line, is: “People say that the Territory There are only two seasons.” Although Emily says these two seasons are “drought and flood”, she could silently give a self-conscious confirmation of how long the neo-Western will last.
It almost seems like there’s too much going on to Territory 2nd season to wrap it all up in a satisfactory manner. Then again, it’s technically possible. The writers may have planned a two-season arc from the beginning, which could explain Emily’s line in the opening episode. The stories assembled for Territory season two is sure to be as tense and bloody as the opening series of episodes, and the next batch could include an explosive conclusion if there is no plan to make Territory season 3 or beyond.

Rival factions, from cattle barons and indigenous elders to billionaires and gangsters, vie for control.
