My Life With The Walter Boys Season 2 Release Window Confirmed By Netflix As Show Ends Filming

Netflix reveals release window for My Life with the Walter Boys Season 2, which has finished filming. Based on the beloved Wattpad novel by Ali Novak, the series follows Jackie, a city girl whose life is turned upside down after a family tragedy forces her to move to a rural farm to live with the turbulent family that is the Walter family. . The first season’s mix of heartfelt drama and light-hearted humor made it a hit with audiences, leading to the development of My Life with the Walter Boys 2nd season.

Netflix Tudum joined the cast and crew of My Life with the Walter Boys for its last week of filming. The streamer confirmed that season 2 will premiere in 2025and creator Melanie Halsall spoke to them about the success of season 1 and the new season, promising, “Season two is bigger and better.” Read her comments below:

We have huge scenarios in each episode and the stories are more complex. We meet our characters, [and] the actors really understand their characters now. When I came back, I was excited to start filming again because I knew we had some great stories to tell.

You never know what the audience is going to react to, or like, or dislike, or whatever. And then when the show aired [and] we were recommissioned so quickly it felt like a complete whirlwind. Everyone was delighted! So naturally, returning to set for Season 2 was like a big reunion for the cast and crew, since it’s been two years since they filmed Season 1.

Nikki Rodriguez, who plays Jackie, recalled her experience during finale week, saying, “It’s so strange because it doesn’t feel like it’s the last few days.” Rodriguez also talked about the direction her character will take in the next season. In his own words:

It’s so strange because it doesn’t feel like it’s the last days. I really like it here. And obviously I work with my best friends every day, looking at trees. It’s the best.

[Jackie] is trying to figure out where she belongs this season. She’s definitely not trying to lose either side of herself and trying to make sure they could coexist.

It’s amazing to see this show being well received and to have people escaping to Silver Falls with us because it’s a lovely place. And although there are some dramatic things happening, I’m sure everything will be happy in the end. But how the hell would I know?
