My Hero Academia Foreshadowed Deku’s Future Years Ago, But Most Fans Didn’t Realize

My Hero AcademyDeku had one of the most controversial endings in chapter #430 of the manga series. After his intense battle against Shigaraki and All For One Izuku sacrificed his Quirkbeing forced to leave the hero’s life behind for seven years. Thanks to the help of his amazing friends, he had a new chance to pursue his dream, using advanced armor that could replicate his lost abilities.

For many fans, this ending seemed to come out of nowhere, as most fans imagined he would become a world-famous hero. Yet, a small detail found in chapter #357 may have suggested that this was Deku’s fate years in advance. Although Kohei Horikoshi is not known for his massive use of foreshadowing like One pieceFor the creator of Eiichiro Oda, this little hint could have been a reference to the ending he imagined for his saga.

Endeavor’s vision proves that Deku’s fate was already decided

The suit your future version is wearing is similar to your tech armor

As he fights All For One during chapter #357 of the My Hero Academy manga, Endeavor ponders what Shoto’s future will be like. At this point in the fight, the number one hero was sure he wouldn’t make it out alive and wanted nothing more than to imagine his son having a happy and prosperous life. His desire to see his son grow up causes him to have a small vision of the future in which Shoto walks towards his friends while Deku and Bakugo wait for him.

In the small panel with the adult version of the Class 1-A students, Deku’s costume stands out, as does It looks surprisingly similar to the costume he wears in the manga’s epilogue. His gloves and boots are less bulky and more technologically advanced than those he wore during the Final War arc of the series. This small detail could imply that Kohei Horikoshi, the manga’s creator, had already imagined Deku as a Quirkless hero years before chapter #430 was released. The fact that his classmates also look like their classmates in the epilogue adds fuel to this idea.

Deku has always been a beacon of hope for those around him

This vision proves that he will always be the greatest hero

One of the main criticisms that fans made about the end of the series was the fact that Deku did not become the number one hero. His ending saw him become a teacher, moving away from his dream career until his friends came to his rescue. Still, Endeavour’s vision could suggest that Deku will become the greatest hero of all, in his own way. When All For One attacked, Enji realized his dream of replacing All Might at the top despite his unforgivable crimes. He was effectively the hero who would inspire Japan’s defenders during the brutal and devastating battle.

Despite its role, when thinking about the future, Endeavor imagined Deku as the beacon that would lead Shoto to a better tomorrow. This says a lot about the respect and admiration Enji had for All Might’s students, even when he was still a student. Izuku’s true power has always been his unbreakable desire to help others, and Japan’s top heroes are aware of this. Horikoshi may have been trying to suggest that Deku would achieve his dream of becoming number one, but not in the way fans imagined it would happen.

Endeavor’s vision could have foreshadowed Deku’s sacrifice

Endeavor himself put his life at risk during his fight

As he lies in bed after defeating All For One in chapter #424, Deku reveals that the reason he sacrificed his Quirk was to save Shigaraki from himself. This was proof of his extraordinarily heroic nature, confirming that he would do anything to save his peers. This sacrifice may have been hinted at during Endeavour’s battle, making his vision of the future that much more meaningful. Throughout his fight against the Symbol of Evil, Enji was prepared to put everything on the line to save the world.

Even though he lost an arm, Endeavor didn’t stop fighting for a second, confident in the knowledge that even if he died, the other heroes could defeat the villain for him. His attitude during this moment is identical to Deku’s during his final encounter against All For One. He would not allow Tenko to continue suffering no matter how much damage he took to fulfill his wish. Their similar motivations during battles may have been what led to Enji receiving a vision of Japan’s future heroes.

While working on his manga, Horikoshi repeatedly proved his mastery over subtle omens. THE My Hero Academy The story is filled with hints about events that would occur in several entries in the future. Endeavor’s vision could be another example of the incredible writing that has made this franchise so beloved and iconic.

In My Hero Academia, some humans have superpowers called quirks. Izuku Midoriya, nicknamed Deku, is not one of them. Deku has always idolized heroes like the number one hero, All Might, and since he was a child he always wanted to be a hero. However, his lack of quirk has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia revolves around Deku and a class of heroes in training at UA. This school turns young quirk users into future heroes through fake rescue missions, combat training, and other hero-tempering tasks. With young Deku inheriting the “One-For-All” quirk, he will learn what it means to be a true hero while facing off against dastardly supervillains.
