The office Took the world by storm after its debut in 2005 and included some hilarious celebrity cameos and guest appearances. Of course, the show owes much of its success to Michael Scott (Steve Carell), but the entire ensemble cast of The office Working together together to create a show that we all hold so close to our hearts. Admittedly, the show takes a slight dip in quality after Michael’s departure The office Season 7, but I think there’s still a lot of good stuff hidden in the last two seasons.
Even minor The office Characters would sometimes steal the show, not to mention all the guest stars that appeared throughout the show’s nine seasons. One of my favorite parts of watching any sitcom is keeping an eye out for any celebrity cameos scattered throughout, and The office is no exception. In fact, it’s filled with stars that range from extensive screen time to only very brief moments — but Conan O’Brien is my favorite celebrity cameo in the office, Which only lasted 10 seconds and is still hilarious.
Conan O’Brien’s cameo in The Office is one of the show’s funniest scenes
Michael Scott completely misses Conan O’Brien in New York
The scene sees Michael mistaking a lady walking through the Rockefeller for Tina Fey and approaching her like The camera pans to Conan O’Brien casually walking by. The scene itself is funny, but it’s Michael’s reaction after the fact that makes me laugh every time. Carell is an expert in comedy and this scene is one of the funniest scenes in The office Because of Michael’s disbelief that he missed meeting with Conan because of the “fake Tina Fey.” Greg Daniels and Conan O’Brien are not an unlikely pairing, as their friendship dates back to Harvard and Saturday Night Live.

Season 2, episode 16, “Valentine’s Day,” takes Michael to New York for a corporate meeting with Dunder Mifflin’s head office on Valentine’s Day. I think this is the one episode that establishes who Michael is and what we can expect from his character in the rest of the show. The key recurring joke of the episode is that Michael has his hopes up on meeting celebrities During his time in New York City, so when Michael is standing in Rockefeller Center later in the episode when Conan walks by, it’s hilarious.
The Office has a lot of hilarious celebrity cameos and guest stars
The last two seasons of The Office had major A-listers
There is such a huge range of A-list stars over the nine-season run that it’s almost natural to expect quite a few scattered over a single season. The minor role cameos are the best of the bunch, but I may be biased because I had so much fun watching them on my first-ever full series watch of The office. People like Bob Odenkirk and Jim Carrey made brief appearances on the show, appearing for a few moments and not contributing much to the show’s overarching plot, but the actors clearly had fun during their fleeting appearances on The office.
Kathy Bates and James Spader had major roles to play in Saber International’s takeover of Dunder Mifflin.
However, the guest stars in the show often held much more importance than the main plot, especially in the last two seasons. Kathy Bates and James Spader had major roles to play in Saber International’s takeover of Dunder Mifflin. The actors had the opportunity for much more screen time after Steve Carell’s departure, and although characters like Robert California (Spader) were not overly appreciated, they offered something new to The office In the wake of this major loss. It was a more subtle kind of humor that allowed the leading protagonists to preach to the guests.
It was technically another Conan O’Brien scene in the office
Conan integrated himself into the office in his 2006 Emmys intro
Conan O’Brien’s cameo in season 2 of The office Wasn’t his only moment in the hit series. The comedian hosted the 58th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards in 2006And in his opening segment, he inserted himself into a series of popular television programs, from Lost to 24and of course, The office. The scene sees him climbing through the ceiling of the Dunder Mifflin office, along with the entire main cast. In true Conan fashion, he appears to be brewing a romance in a brief scene with Pam Beasley (Jenna Fischer).

The sketch can be found in the DVD extras of The office Season 3. As a huge fan of Conan O’Brien’s work, this is probably one of my favorite bits of his. Despite being a short sketch for an award show, Conan somehow fits the tone perfectly The office. Both this and the season 2 cameo added to his already diverse portfolio of sitcom cameos, joining Conan’s cameo in How I Met Your Mother And 30 stone.
