Moana 2 Box Office Surpasses Rare Global Milestone Only Reached by Four Other Films This Year

Moana 2
has just surpassed another global box office milestone, becoming only the fifth film this year to do so. Following the huge streaming success of the first film on Disney+, the sequel, directed by David G. Derrick Jr, Jason Hand and Dana Ledoux Miller, sees Moana (Auli'i Cravalho) embark on a new adventure to the furthest reaches of Oceania following a calling from your ancestors.

Box office data for The numbers now reveals that Moana 2 surpassed US$600 million worldwide, with a new total of US$601 million. This makes it the fifth highest-grossing film of the year, behind Dune: Part Two, Despicable Me 4, Deadpool and Wolverineand Inside Out 2.
