The actor has a decent track record
Long gestation sequelae were received with mixed reviews in recent years. Bill and Ted face the music and Blade Runner 2049 were both received favorably by critics, but Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, The Matrix Resurrections, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife all received lukewarm receptions. However, not only Beetle juice receiving a Certified Fresh score of 77%, it also received an audience score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes’ newly renamed Popcorn Meter. This is largely due to Keaton.
Like most actors, Keaton has had his share of disappointments, but since his Oscar-nominated performance in 2014 Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)he has a series of critical favorite filmsincluding Featured, The Founder, The Trial of the Chicago 7, Worth, The Protégé and Knox leaves. Need for speed and Robo Cop Both were released in the same year as Birdmanbut in general, Keaton is smart when it comes to choosing roles, making Goodrich is no different.
Our Take on Goodrich’s Rotten Tomatoes
Another showcase for Keaton’s acting
The fact that Keaton can follow up a return to one of his most iconic comedic roles with an adult-oriented dramedy speaks volumes about his versatility as an actor. Even when he’s in a thankless role as villain Adrian Toomes/Vulture in Spider-Man: HomecomingKeaton is giving his all with his performances. A film like Goodrich allows Keaton to showcase his comedic talents as well as demonstrate his dramatic abilities, and critics once again praise him for his efforts.
