Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Star Michael Keaton explains how he knew the movie would be a box office hit. The long-awaited sequel grossed more than $400 million worldwide Since its theatrical debut. Beetlejuice Beetlejuice‘s opening box office got off to a strong start with a worldwide total of $46.4 million and $111 million domestically and didn’t slow down from there as it became the second highest grossing movie of all time to be released in September.
While talking with Collider About his latest movie, Gutrich, Keaton was asked what it meant to him to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Crossing the $400 million mark at the global box office. He emphasized that it means a lot to him, after spending years making a sequel to the original. Beetlejuice Movie released in 1988. Keaton also breaks down how he knew that the movie was going to do well, although its level of financial success has exceeded even his expectations. Check out his comments below:
A lot. [Laughs] A Complete For many different reasons. For a lot of somewhat obvious reasons. I Knew It would be good. There is no way I knew it would do this well. But for years, I never understood, just from a cold-hearted business point of view, why they wouldn’t pull the trigger on what I would say is about the only thing I would want to do again is that movie. I had a crush on him there for a few years. Then I would have years where I didn’t think about it, or I would say, “Yeah, I think we missed it, so let’s just not worry about it anymore.” But I always knew. I think the only reason you know some of this stuff is you’re going to be out, and somebody’s going to say something like the gentleman here just said, “Man, Genie family!“You know what’s there.
“It’s my favorite thing!” Plus, I loved it and I knew it was unique, so I always thought at worst. At worst – You have a strong opening. Film it in the studio, take the money, put it in the bank, and move on to the next thing. You hit a single At worst. So, no, I was not surprised by this, but did I expect this? No, but it’s fun! Also, I just love that it’s there again.
