The youngest Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion, Storybook Valley, it brought some new faces to the valley, but it also brought some new flaws. Among the game’s new features is Princess Merida, a beloved character from the Disney film Brave, known for her bright orange curls and Scottish accent.
What is Merida no known for is she bulging eyes and striking gait in a T pose. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what she does in a clip shared by a Reddit user Knightas she glides away with arms outstretched in what can only be called a nightmarish fuel cycle. “I don’t know what people are talking about,” writes Cavalish, “Merida looks great.“
Merida is a little scary in the latest Dreamlight Valley Storybrook Vale content
The newest expansion is still smoothing out some rough edges
When Brave was first released in 2012, it used some revolutionary technology to make hair realistic, one strand at a time. And she still looks amazing and is every bit the fiery redhead she was. Disney Dreamlight Valley expansion, at least most of the time. Storybook Valley it’s full of bugshowever, and Merida’s terrible rendering is one of the worst. In this bug, she appears to have been squeezed too tightly and her arms are perpetually stuck in the T position.
THE DDV community remained supportive in light of Mérida’s obvious physical differences, with SveaBo Baya hilariously stating “Flawless queen and she doesn’t have any bugs!“The glitchy look is so iconic that Redditor Portal2player58 even suggesting that the visual “it was supposed to be a fantasy for her in Dreamlight Valley.” Apparently, Merida’s wide-eyed makeover isn’t the only flaw affecting her and the other newcomers to the valley. Another flaw mentioned by players is Merida, Flynn and Hades.”spin in circles as you run away from me behind“whenever players try to interact with them, as reported by Stryker101.
Disney Dreamlight Valley could create some really interesting looks
Glitches and bugs have caused many hilarious mishaps
Merida isn’t the only Disney character to get an unwanted makeover Valley of the Light of Dreams. A visual glitch earlier this year resulted in the cursed combination of Olaf and Ursula into one disturbing being. Other silly bugs that plagued DDV players in recent months include outrageous dresses and a cursed bale of hay cosplaying the monster from He follows (i.e. follow a player).
Fortunately, Disney is quite quick to fix glitches like Merida’s. After receiving much criticism for the poor representation of Belle’s face in the game, the character’s avatar was replaced with a much more attractive version. Hopefully poor Merida will also be able to get her face back soon (literally) and continue her journey with players in the magical Storybook Valley expansion of Disney Dreamlight Valley.
