Marvel Studios takes a significant step forward in New program development over two years after the project was first announced. The Nova Corps made their first appearance in the MCU in The Guardians of the GalaxyYesand they were decimated off-screen by Thanos before the events of Avengers: Infinity War. Ten years after the Nova Corps debuted, its Avengers hero Richard Rider has not appeared in any MCU films or shows. This will finally change with Marvel New series.
As reported by Deadline, Criminal Minds showrunner Ed Bernero joins Marvel Studios New series as head writerreplacing Moon Knight writer Sabir Pirzada. New has not yet received a tentative release date, lead actor and synopsis. However, the series is unlikely to release before Phase 7.
