Pokémon GO is giving trainers another chance to get their hands on a coveted Master Ball with the new Masterwork Research: Master Ball Quest. This premium quest arrived in the game as part of the Galarian Expedition event and needs to be Purchased from the Play Store for $7.99. That’s quite a high price, so it’s good to know what’s involved to figure out whether or not you’re getting value for money.
The Master Ball is an iconic Poke Ball variant that has appeared in many Pokemon games over the decades. It offers a guaranteed catch of any wild Pokemon, making it very desirable, especially when trying to catch legendaries. The master ball made his Pokémon GO Debut in May 2023, and there have been several opportunities to unlock them since then. The last method is to purchase and complete the Masterwork Research: Master Ball Quest.

Masterwork research quests are intended to be completed over a long period of time, which means you probably won’t get your Master Ball for a while. The good news is that most of the tasks can be completed during regular gameplay, such as the ‘Catch 250 Pokemon’ task and the ‘Make 1500 Nice Curveball Throws’ which are quite easy to complete.
The tasks become harder and more time-consuming as you progress through each step. For example, the ‘Visit PokéStops on seven different days’ task places a week-long time block on progress, while the ‘Catch 75 Pokemon in a single day’ task will require you to set aside a couple of hours to dedicate to playing the game . Game. Keep these things in mind if you’re debating whether to buy the Masterwork research ticket.
What should you catch with your Bell Ball?
There are three Pokemon worth using a Master Ball on
With the strong Lord Ball is so difficult to get into Pokémon GOThere are only three Pokemon I can recommend catching with it: Galarian Articuno, Galarian Moltres and Galarian Zapdos. The regional variants of the iconic Legendary Birds are arguably the rarest Pokemon in the game, as they only appear when you use Daily Adventure Incense and have very low spawn rates. To this day, many trainers have never seen one.
If you are lucky enough to encounter a legendary gallery bird in the wild, you will quickly find that they are almost impossible to catch with regular items. Not only do they have low capture rates, but they also have high escape rates, which means you usually only get one chance to land a Poké Ball before it runs away. Using a Master Ball will guarantee that you can catch the legendary Pokemon and add them to your collection.

Even better, the rare shiny Galarian legendary birds are now available to encounter Pokémon GO. This would be the final reason to throw a Master Ball, although you should exhaust all your regular Poké Balls, Big Balls, and Ultra Balls before using a Master Ball. This is because the Shiny Gallery Legendary Birds will not escape from the capture screen. Only when you have run out of other options should you use the Master Ball.
If you’ve already managed to catch all three Gallery Legendary Birds, I’d recommend saving your Master Ball for future Pokemon debuts, such as Arceus and Eternatus. These powerful Pokemon are some of the most anticipated arrivals in Pokémon GOSo they will no doubt be incredibly difficult to catch when they eventually appear.
