The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I just had a huge Kickstarter, giving great hope for a long-awaited revival. Haruhi Suzumiya was one of the most popular anime of the 2000s, if not the most popular, but to the disappointment of many, the series ended in 2010 after its theatrical film, The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiyaalthough there are still plenty of light novels for the anime to adapt.

Fans of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I’ve been wanting an anime revival for over a decade now, and there’s more hope than ever. A Kickstarter was recently launched for the anime to produce a new music video and voice drama featuring the original voice cast and, reportedly, The Melancholy of Haruhi SuzumiyaKickstarter far surpassed its two goals in a single day despite having until January.
