With the addition of storm to join the battle, Hyperion vs. The Avengers is sure to be explosiveBut the conclusion to their action can be shocking.
Hyperion could be the next person to join the Avengers
The Avengers are known for recruiting former villains
The Hyperion that is threatening to destroy Earth is actually a simulacrum created by the demon Mephisto In a plot to take over the world, imbued with the memories of Mark Milton of Heroes reborn. As a being created by Mephisto, Hyperion feels as if life is fake and empty, and decides to destroy himself and Earth to “solve” his dilemma. However, it appears that Hyperion is not really a VillainA more complex character that has been laid out and manipulated, especially since he was last seen in The Red Widow.
The Avengers are famous for recruiting villains and helping them in their redemption arcs, most notably the iconic Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, as well as the beloved Hawkeye, Black Widow, Namor, Vision, Swordsmaster and others. Some of the most beloved Avengers began their careers as villains, and Hyperion could be on a similar path of redemption and growth. It would be tragic if Storm and the Avengers were forced to kill Hyperion – A task that would also be impossible – instead of stopping the attack and interfering with his mental breakdown.
Thor was best friends with a Hyperion variant
The God of Thunder may have a soft spot for Milton
One of the most famous – and certainly the most beloved – Hyperion variants from across the multiverse is Marcus Milton of Earth-13034. Hyperion was a full-fledged hero when he arrived on Earth-616, which was from a universe destroyed by the Beyonders’ agents. He would go on to become a member of the Avengers, help lead the Multiversal Avengers, and after-secret wars Started his own squadron supreme on earth. Hyperion also became best friends with ThorAnd people haven’t seen since Secret Empire. It would be fascinating if Thor was able to use his relationship with Hyperion to connect with the variant attacking Earth, potentially convincing him to stop his assault and instead join the Avengers.
With Storm joining The AvengersAnd the request for Avengers #18 Revealing a hero will leave the team, Now is the perfect time for another mixup. It would be epic if the Avengers were not only able to stop Hyperion from destroying Earth, but also save him from himself, giving him a second chance as part of their iconic team.
