The method to convince all world governments is a huge mystery
One World Under Doom follows the event Blood Huntwritten by Jed MacKay with art by Pepe Larraz, in which Doctor Strange bequeaths his power as Sorcerer Supreme to Doom in order to save the world from a vampire invasion. Unfortunately, Doom doesn’t give the title back and has clearly decided to reshape the world in his image. He’s already visited the Avengers to apparently try to recruit them to his side, but his preparations for global domination have mostly taken place behind the scenes in other books.
Marvel is aware of what readers can expect to be happening, and the fact that this preview calls out Doom-Bots and Mind Control means the answer probably isn’t either. It could be magical, since Doom is the Sorcerer Supreme. It could be time travel, a classic Doom trick. However, neither would exactly constitute a mystery. Time travel is more interesting than a basic magic stunt, but it’s firmly within Doom’s wheelhouse and would be one of the first things heroes like the Fantastic Four would think of.
Our Take on Doctor Doom’s Secret Path to World Leader
There is another, even darker possibility behind Doctor Doom’s domination.
What would it be majority interesting is if all these governments they were doing this on your own. Did Doom find something to offer them that no one else could? It would be a difficult tightrope to walk in terms of making the reasoning seem realbut it’s also the possibility that would have the most interesting ramifications for the superheroes desperately trying to stop him. If Doctor Doom isn’t breaking a single law in his world domination, so how could Marvel’s heroes stop him without turning on the entire world at the same time?
