Marvel Rivals is full of little surprises that could end up being quite useful, as one fan noticed that heroes automatically scream when they are hit by the enemy. While these callouts are somewhat useful in the heat of battle, some of the phrases are quite hilarious, which has become a hot topic in recent days.
A recent post on Reddit by Sylanec attracted a lot of attention after the poster mentioned that strategists make calls when they are being shot down. Little did they know that they were not just strategists, but all the heroes have their own words when they are attacked by Hulk from the rear.
Marvel Rivals heroes say when they need healing
"Healing? Why would I need a cure?"
Commenters on Reddit thread Not only do we discuss how useful this little feature is, but also some of your favorite lines from each hero. Loki seems to have the most comical lines when he is shot, as his responses are quite sarcastic and “arrogant” according to fans. Manlike_omzz states, "I love the sarcastic "Oh, I'm fine, don't mind me." Rocket also has some interesting lines, like the infamous "Don't worry about me, I'm dying here", as mentioned by FireAntz93.
While some of these lines add a comedic twist to the title, some lines get old quickly. Hela constantly states "Healing? Why would I need a cure?" almost every time she gets hit, and as commenter Wonderful-One-8877 says, "That line is so stupid, like, of course you need healing when you're talking about Hela, you're being dunked by Black Panther and Captain America at the same time." While not all of the heroes' callouts are fan favorites, they do help healers figure out who to target - as long as they're listening to the calls.
Our Take: Maybe Marvel Rivals Heroes Should Be a Little Louder
Sometimes it's hard to hear calls in the heat of battle
These hero phrases can be useful as long as other people are actually hearing them, but during a heated battle and trying to escape Hawkeye's gunfire, most fans aren't hearing these heroes begging for help. While some catchphrases, like Hela saying the same thing over and over again, are very annoying to hear, They could be useful if they spoke a little louder to healers that might be returning from spawn, which is a setting you can change if you want to use them to help other players.
Right haha. I have my audio volume turned up for voices, so I can zoom in to protect my supports, because let's face it, sups are the mvps. They keep us alive, so I keep them alive. - No_Late6748 on Reddit
Personally, I like the explanatory text feature as it helps here and there with getting a heal or receiving one if you're playing Duelist or Vanguard during a match. Plus, they add some humor to the title, and some matches need a little comic relief – especially if you play ranked. This is just one of the many little features that make Marvel Rivals which is, and players discussing how Loki always seems absolutely carefree will always bring a laugh or two.
