The initial season of Marvel Rivals has three main modes: Domination, Convoy and Convergence. Since the game is a hero shooter, there are mechanics that make it similar to other team shooters. There are 33 Marvel heroes to choose from, so with teams of six being the goal, you can choose from several different team compositions. These types of options and abilities make every player wonder which is the best choice for these teams.
Determining the right team for your play style is extremely important in a 6v6 shooter like Marvel Rivals. There are also team building abilities and other mechanics that add additional things to consider when choosing the right team. There are three different categories of teams you can form: Dive, Rush, and Poke teams. Recognizing each team's strengths and weaknesses is especially importantas a more distance-focused Poke team will not provide the same control as a Rush team.
Yggdrasill Path – Train
Best team combination for Yggdrasill path
Yggsdrail Path in the Yggsgard area is a Convoy-style map that prioritizes teams for offense and defense over speed. When you're attacking, having a team geared more toward a Poke or Rush team is useful, as you need to strategize using tanks, ranged attacks, and good AoE healing.
For the Defense aspect of the game mode, it's important to be able to manage more of a Dive team, as you'll need a blunt means of distracting Convoy opponents.

Royal Palace – Domination
Best team combination for the Royal Palace
The Yggsard Royal Palace map is a Domination game mode with plenty of high ground between the three unique locations. Dive teams will be key here as you will need an agile team that can quickly change areas. This map also has a lot of choke points, so having a character like Hawkeye on your team can be a great way to hold some of the more pressing points in the Throne Room area. For this map, focusing on having faster characters like Venom will be essential for a good team composition.

Shin-Shibuya – Convergence
Best team combination for Shin-Shibuya
Shin-Shibuya is from Tokyo 2099 and is a hybrid Convergence mode map. There are many open spaces and corners, but many areas near the first objective can benefit you. This map requires a more mixed skill setfocusing predominantly on a 1-3-2, emphasizing Duelist characters and a fast Vanguard character. It is advisable not to use a Rush team for this map as there is a lot of variability in results.

Spider Islands – Train
Best team combination for Spider-Islands
Spider-Islands is an interesting map because of the amount of open space, which certainly means you'll be facing mostly flying characters. There is no need to capture an objective for this map, but there should be at least two tanks to watch the convoy itself and continue advancing on the front lines. If you are on the defensive side of the team, be careful when choosing a Rush team as you will need the aerial benefits of having a Dive team.

Birnin T'Challa —Domination
Best team combination for Birnin T'Challa
Birnin T'Challa is a bit confusing to find the perfect team composition, as Domination mode means the choice is largely yours. There are benefits to using multiple characters on this map if you are good at playing them, like Black Panther, Groot, or even Marvel Rivals'Luna Snow. There are plenty of opportunities to deal with most teams here, as the single objective mode makes sniping and other combat styles more fun to succeed in Birnin T'Chala.

Djalia Hall – Convergence
Best team combination for Hall of Djalia
Hall of Djalia isn't as clear a map as you might expect, as the battlefield evolves as you venture through it. There's a clear balance to be made here between prioritizing a strong tank and characters with ranged damage.
Typically, a good Rush team that communicates well can win easily if there is good mobility within the team. There are better teams to choose from for each side of the convoy you choose, so make sure you play to the advantage of the entire team.

Symbiotic Surface – Convergence
Best Team Match for Symbiotic Surface
Symbiotic Surface is one of the most action-packed maps available on Marvel Rivals. Being a Convergence map, there are a variety of melee areas and open spaces, so being flanked may be something you should look for. Due to this, having fast support is the best option for the map and avoiding a stationary Rush team. Having a very competent Captain America can be the key to winning this game mode, but don't relax on defense.

Hell's Paradise – Domination
Best team combination for hell heaven
Hell's Heaven takes place in the Hydra base, so there's a lot to consider in all the trickier parts of the game. Since Hell's Heaven is indoor, there aren't as many open areas as some of the other Domination maps.
As this map is only available for the Domination game mode, having a team with high survivability rather than high damage out of the gate makes more sense.
Stick to characters you know well, as you'll need to get high damage results while staying alive. These are the best teams that have a combination of high performance and long-lasting skills in Marvel Rivals.
