Marvel Officially Confirms Why Daredevil Has the Best Superhero Sex Life (Explaining Why Wolverine Is So Envious of Him)

Reckless is a hero of many talents with an irresistible aura that has given him more love interests than most other superheroes, but it’s not simply his intellectual career in law or his vigilante persona that makes him so popular in the Marvel Universe. One of his former lovers, Elektra, reveals exactly why so many fall in love with Matt Murdock, and strangely enough it’s also why Wolverine cannot keep a partner and resents Daredevil.

In preview for Reckless #15, Daredevil faces the demons released by his return from Hell, targeting those close to him. When Daredevil starts blaming himself, Elektra tells him he has nothing to atone for because he doesn’t embody the sins that attack people. When listing why Daredevil doesn’t embody the seven sins, Elektra explains that his many loves are not due to ‘lust’ but a true love that is obvious to anyone he is with.

X-Men’s Wolverine has expressed his frustration in the past about why women prefer Daredevil, but Elektra’s explanation makes it pretty clear why. Daredevil #15 comes from Saladin Ahmed, Luigi Zagaria, Jesus Abertov and Clayton Cowles

Daredevil actually loves the women he’s with, with Elektra denying that he’s lecherous

Since Matt Murdock is literally persecuted for his sins, the difference matters

Daredevil had a tumultuous love life, including romances with fellow heroes Elektra, Black Widow, Echo, Black Cat, Moondragon and She-Hulk (in the MCU). He was engaged to Heather Glenn and married Elektra and Milla Donovan, the latter of whom he cheated on with private investigator Dakota North. Matt’s most famous love interest is Karen Page, who was murdered by his nemesis Bullseye, and he has had intense relationships with the villainous Typhoid Mary and mob-connected Mindy Libris.

Matt often blames himself for his love life and especially for cheating on Milla, but Elektra reframes her many romances as a result of her genuinely loving nature. In contrast, although Wolverine has had many relationships, he is defined by his solitary nature, running away from those close to him at any opportunity.

Wolverine admits he’s jealous of Matt Murdock’s love life

Wolverine complains about Daredevil's love life

In Wolverine #24Wolverine expresses his jealousy of Daredevil, wondering why so many women are interested in him. At the time, Logan had been corrupted by the Hand, bringing out his worst impulses. Fighting Daredevil, Wolverine reflects, “What do they see in you, Murdock?… You’re not that smart. You’re not that rich. You’re not that funny.” Elektra’s conversation with Daredevil reveals Matt Murdock isn’t afraid to love and reach out to people, which is something Wolverine and afraid of. This was perfectly demonstrated when he lost his healing factor, rejecting his many friends’ attempts to help him in difficult times (as seen in the book by Paul Cornell and Ryan Stegman). Wolverine #4.)

Wolverine leaves the X-Men once again

Daredevil fans know that Matt Murdock has more than his share of demons, but Elektra also mentions that he has so much more to offer with his proactive nature, selflessness, and ability to love deeply. Although Wolverine and Daredevil share a love of violence, Reckless is better at being open to those he likes in ways Wolverine it just won’t.

Daredevil #15 will be available on November 20, 2024, from Marvel Comics!
