The status of the Avengers team in the MCU is uncertain as of 2019 Avengers: Endgame. Marvel’s upcoming trailers Captain America: Brave New World have confirmed that the Avengers are disbanded, although President Ross will urge Sam Wilson’s Captain America to rebuild the team. Although the Avengers may not currently be functioning as a team, the public may not be fully aware of thisAnd this is implied thanks to Eddie’s comments in Agatha all along Episode 6. It seems that the public still believe the Avengers exist.

This makes sense after the events of Avengers: Endgame. The Battle of Earth featured almost every hero in the MCU fighting Thanos and his armies, and it would be well documented and reported on, making it public knowledge. Witnessing the battle of Earth could have convinced the world that the Avengers are coming back together after their disbanding in Captain America: Civil WarAnd this belief may have persisted for the last three years before Agatha all along. Obviously, this is not the case, but the MCU will surely expand on this in its upcoming projects.
