Marvel Just Revealed How Powerful Death Is in the MCU, and I Can’t Wait to See More of His Powers

Warning: This article contains spoilers for Agatha All Along.

The Death of Aubrey Plaza showcased some of her incredible powers in Agatha all the timeand I would love to see her return to the MCU to further demonstrate her remarkable abilities. I was thrilled to see Aubrey Plaza, one of my favorites Parks and Recreation stars, make their MCU debut in Agatha all the timeand I couldn’t think of any better character for the deadpan but charismatic actor than Death. Rio Vidal de Plaza, originally described as a Green Witch, has been confirmed to be the formidable cosmic entity Death in Agatha all the time episode 7, “Death’s Hand in Mine.”

I discovered many clues in Agatha all the time that Rio Vidal is actually Death before this is confirmed. Rio appeared on Witchroad after Sharon Davis’ death, stayed behind after Agatha Harkness’s trial after Alice’s death, and was repulsed by the appearance of Evanora Harkness’ ghost and suggesting that she, in fact, was Death. Death has demonstrated some impressive powers in his short MCU career, but one in particular, displayed in Agatha all the time Episode 8, “Follow Me My Friend/To Glory at the End,” stands out as one of my favorite moments in MCU history.

Death cutting through reality is one of my favorite moments in the MCU

Death Opens the Walls of Reality in Agatha All the Time Episode 8

Death opening up reality in episode 8 of Agatha All Along

After Lilia Calderu revealed the truth about Rio Vidal to the other coven members in Agatha all the time episode 7, Billy Maximoff and Jennifer Kale processed the news while Agatha Harkness spoke to Death on the Witch Road. Death revealed that she knew Agatha was trying to distract her from Billy Maximoff, who Death described as a “abomination” that she wanted to recover. Agatha suggested that she could have Billy sacrifice himself to Death in exchange for Death leaving her alone, and Death agreed to these terms.

After this exchange, Death performed one of the MCU’s most powerful feats, which instantly became one of my favorite moments in the entire franchise. To get off the Witch’s Road, Death took his knife and cut through the fabric of reality, stepping out into the black void beyond.. This was a simple moment, but it was incredibly effective in showing the strength of Death’s power. I found this stripped-down, simple moment to be very clever and left me excited about the possibilities of Death’s future in the MCU.

I want to see more death abilities in the future of the MCU

Marvel Studios has only scratched the surface of Death’s abilities

As an abstract cosmic entity, Death has an incomprehensible level of power that makes him nearly omnipotent and far more powerful than virtually any other character in Marvel Comics and the MCU. Death cannot die, as he is not truly alive, has the ability to manipulate time, space and matter, and has the ability to change form at will.. We saw some of these powers in Agatha all the timebut she’s only demonstrated powers that any other witch would be able to display, so I’m looking forward to seeing more of Death’s specific abilities.

Seeing Death pass through the walls of reality and exit the Witch’s Road proved that he is capable of some remarkable feats. The fact that Agatha Harkness absorbed Death’s power led to her instant death, and Death was able to quickly turn her corpse into a bed of flowers proves that the surface of Death’s power set has barely been scratched. The combination of one of my favorite actors, Aubrey Plaza, and one of my favorite Marvel characters, Lady Death, is a perfect matchand I can’t wait to see more.

Death’s Show of Force Proves Why Practical Sets Are Superior

Agatha always used practical sets to increase realism

Death on the Witch Road in Agatha All Along, Episode 8

I am grateful for the reflection that arose at the moment when Death cut through the walls of reality, and this would not have been possible without the use of practical sets. Most sets in Agatha all the time were done physically, including the entire Witch Road and the locations of each trial. Realistic paintings expanded the horizon of Witch Road, and it was one of them that The Death of Aubrey Plaza opened. This proves the huge advantage of using practical sets in MCU projects, as they can help demonstrate the incredible power of some of Marvel’s strongest cosmic beings..
