Marvel Just Changed Daredevil Lore Forever With a Permanent Injury No One Could Come Back From

Notice! Spoilers ahead for Daredevil #16!

Reckless You may be no stranger to punishment, but someone else in your life just suffered a life-changing injury. The Seven Deadly Sins are chasing Matt Murdock and destroying Hell's Kitchen to catch him. Unfortunately for one person, Daredevil's sin cost them something extremely important to them.

In Daredevil #16 by Saladin Ahmed and Aaron Kuder, Daredevil's best friend Foggy is under the influence of Pride, and unfortunately, thanks to Daredevil's renunciation of God, the Man Without Fear cannot exorcise his friend. Even worse, the corrupted Foggy is suing Matt and trying to shut down the home Daredevil runs for abandoned youth.

Daredevil looking at something dark Marvel

Daredevil can do nothing but patrol the streets and look for people in need. However, Matt catches Bullseye's scent and follows him into an alley. However, instead of finding the killer, Daredevil only finds Bullseye's arm lying on the ground, disintegrating..

Daredevil's Nemesis Bullseye Just Lost His Arm

Judging by the situation, Bullseye is not recovering

Daredevil confirms that the arm is Bullseye's Marvel

Daredevil got a second chance at life after literally going to Hell, and the powers that be brought him back as a priest. However, Matt's soul was fractured and pieces of it were corrupted by the Seven Deadly Sins. Even worse, these sins began to infect the people in Matt's life. However, with the word of God, Daredevil was able to exorcise these demons, but the pressures of the Sins' attacks became too much for Matt to bear, causing him to lose faith in God. Unfortunately, he lost at the worst time when Wrath began to make his way through Daredevil's neighborhood.

While it appears that Bullseye got away with it, this is a very serious injury and it doesn't look like he will get his arm back. A large part is missing and muscles and bones are exposed. Even if he got his arm back and doctors were able to repair the substantial damage, there's a good chance that Bullseye will never be 100% again. For someone who prides himself on being one of the deadliest assassins in the Marvel Universe, this injury will almost certainly change things for Daredevil's nemesis.

But maybe that's a good thing for everyone

Daredevil wonders where Bullseye is Marvel

If this injury hampers Bullseye's assassination skills, that will likely be a good thing for the Marvel Universe in general. Then again, assuming Bullseye still has his other arm, he might do well. Either way, it will be interesting to see how he adapts to this permanent injury. He'll simply survive with one or return with a robotic and possibly armed one later (God help the innocents of Marvel if it's the latter). Whatever the future holds, Daredevil the enemy will have to make big changes. If he's still alive, of course.

Daredevil #16 is now available from Marvel Comics.
