Slippenglide Island ice block puzzle solution in Mario & Luigi: Brothership
Create an ice bridge to get out of the cave
The Ice Block puzzle on Slippenglide Island is inside a huge cave, where you need to take out an ice cube to enter. As soon as you enter, knock down the biggest block of ice you see on the left with your hammer. This will cause him to fall into the water, where you can see an exclamation mark (!) block.
Your objective in this puzzle is drop two more blocks into this stretch of water to form a bridgewho will lead the brothers in M&L: Brotherhood out of the icy cave. Go up the stairs to the right of where the first block of ice was in the cave to continue. From this point forward, follow these steps to solve the puzzle:
How to move the first block of ice
When climbing the stairs, make Luigi stand next to the yellow and blue square on the way up. Reaching this square moves a floating yellow platform that Mario can stand on to reach a deeper part of the cave. Cross breakable ice platforms without falling to get to a second yellow square platform that Luigi can move again, but you want avoid moving the platform for now.
Jump across the yellow platform and then knock down the biggest block of ice on the ice below. Stand directly behind this block of ice and head south to the other end of the cave. When it stops against a large pillar of ice, go to the right side of the block and hit it to the leftwhere you will stop again at a nearby pillar.

From here, get under the block and attack it to the north in an immediate pillar. Go to the right of the block and hit the left again from this point, then get above him and hit him straight. This will place you exactly on the patch of ice where the first block was located. One more hit on the right side of the block will slide it to the left and into the water to continue forming the bridge.
How to move the second ice block
Hit the exclamation mark (!) block on the ice block bridge you just formed to reveal more platforms in the cave. This will help you get to the final ice block with Luigi’s help, as he will have to stay close to the yellow and blue square at this point. Go back up the stairs and cross the platforms until you reach the pillar where the last block of ice can be found.
The last block of ice, once on the ground, must be hit from left to right then he stops at the bottom of two ice pillars. When in this position, drop the ice block from the top so that it moves slightly to the south. When you stop, make Luigi hit the square to get some yellow gates out of the way. The moment the one below the ice block passes through it, hit the block on the right then it moves to the left.
With the right timing, this should cause the block to move through the cave to another pillar just before a drop that leads to a bed of spikes. Make Luigi hit the square again to move the yellow gates back into position, then hit the block down so that it stops at one of these obstacles. Now, hit the block to the right and up move it quickly against two more pillars that guide you in the right direction.
Your next step is make Luigi hit the square again and quickly hit the ice block on the right while this happens. You need to time this attack so that the ice block stops one space above the pillar that the yellow gate was in front of. This will place the ice pack in the perfect spot for be hit down once again and on the path where you started.
A final push to the left will make the last block of ice complete the bridge needed to exit the cave. Progression is your biggest reward for solving the ice block puzzle on Slippenglide Island in Mario and Luigi: Brotherhood as you progress more steps towards the final boss and the end of the game.
