With Lex in charge of creating Doomsday, Cudlitz’s version of the iconic DC villain made sure to keep his promise to Superman and Lois season three with an extremely bleak outcome.
On-screen rant recently spoke with Cudlitz himself for Superman and Lois in season four, when he talked about fighting the last son of Krypton in the final scene. When Cudlitz was asked about how Lex not only got the Man of Steel’s heart, but literally trampled and destroyed it in front of SuperboyWith no hope of bringing his father back from the dead, the actor shared details of how the scene took place:
Michael Cudlitz: Interesting… it was fun, oh it was fun. That was great! [laughs] Maybe I’m exhausted. We had two or three that I just dropped that could have been thrown away and it didn’t matter because as soon as they dropped we were out of the game. Then the one that could be crushed, I think we had two real ones that we could crush and then we could reconstruct them if we had to and put them back together and they could use CG. I think we knew that, but we had two real physical parts that we thought would work. I think we got it right the first time, but we ended up using everything we had for it. It’s just that in a situation like this, you want to make sure that you’re covered, so we do a lot to ensure safety. But yes, Alex [Garfin] was incredible on stage. It’s a very, very emotional scene for the fans. I am sure that after this I will be loved for some time! [laughs]
What does the heartbeat scene in Superman & Lois season 4 mean for the show?
Despite Death of Superman previously adapted for live action and animation, Superman and Lois In season four, they took such measures for the first time in an attempt to cope with the loss of the last son of Krypton.. The way Clark’s heart is essentially ripped out of his chest and destroyed at the hands (or in this case, actual foot) of Lex is one of the most twisted images for live action. Superman TV show. Bye Superman and Lois Season 3 has already made it clear that this will be a very violent version of Lex, and seeing him actually stomp on Clark’s heart is still a big shock. While The CW’s DC series has been able to pull off some incredibly dark stories over the years, it’s surprising that something like physically destroying Superman’s heart was actually shown. Only seven episodes left, time will tell Superman and Lois Season 4 will focus on the Man of Steel’s absence.
