Shortly after the premiere of Organized crimethe original Law and Order the series was also revived, and suddenly there was a bona fide franchise dominating NBC’s Thursday lineup. Despite the franchise’s overwhelming success, there were some doubts that Organized crime would return for season 5.

However Law and Order: Organized Crime is different from its procedural contemporaries because it tells an overarching story each season, yet there is little continuity from season to season. With that in mind, it’s impossible to guess what will happen in Season 5 because the Season 4 plot will likely have little bearing on what happens. Season 4 sees the seasoned detective go undercover on another dangerous mission, but season 5 will likely create a new story for Stabler that will see him face another dangerous foe.
