Taylor Sheridan has apparently learned from her mistakes regarding Kayce and Monica's love story in yellow stoneas evidenced by the development of a couple in their new show, Landman. Sheridan continues his TV dominance with the Paramount+ drama series, which follows Billy Bob Thornton's Tommy. Thornton's character is an oil company owner who deals with problems with local landowners, oil patch crews, and sometimes the cartel. As such, Tommy faces many dangers. He often gets involved in sticky situations, just like the Dutton family did in yellow stone.
New episodes of Landman drops Sundays on Paramount+. The season 1 finale (episode 10), “The Crumbs of Hope,” will be released on Sunday, January 12, 2025.
Unfortunately, yellow stone apparently came to an end after season 5, part 2. Some reports claim that a sixth season is possible, but with the Beth and Rip spinoff and several other shows (such as Landman) on Sheridan's plate, he may be too busy to continue yellow stone. Based on positive response LandmanIt's probably best that Sheridan focuses on his latest projects. Fans can stop rooting for Kayce and Monica in yellow stone root for another couple in the Paramount+ drama.
Landman's Cooper and Ariana Story Is Like Yellowstone's Unseen Kayce and Monica Story
Audiences never saw the beginning of Kayce and Monica's romance
The first half of Landman The first season has been slowly but surely building Cooper and Ariana's romance. It's quite complicated, given that she had a husband who recently died. Additionally, Cooper was beaten at the end of Landman episode 5 because of his connection with Ariana and his inability to stay away from her. While all of these factors are concerning, Cooper and Ariana's story is somewhat reminiscent of Kayce and Monica's romance in yellow stone. However, unlike Cooper and Ariana, the 2018 neo-Western drama series never showed Kayce and Monica's story.

Monica's family probably held the same grudge against Kayce when they started dating that Ariana's late husband's family has toward Kayce. Landman. Cooper is even attacked by them because of his growing relationship with Ariana. It's quite possible that Kayce went through the same thing in yellow stone. The first season of Taylor Sheridan's first TV show implied that Monica's Brother Robert Could Barely Tolerate Kayce (before Robert killed Kayce's brother Lee, which resulted in Kayce killing Robert). yellow stone I never told this story completely, and now Landman it achieves.
Are Cooper and Ariana supposed to be a couple in Landman?
Cooper and Ariana's situation is very complex
If Landman fans are hoping for a happy ending for Cooper and Ariana like the one Kayce and Monica had yellow stonethey may be disappointed. Only six episodes have aired, but Cooper and Ariana's relationship certainly isn't being built on stable ground. Ariana is still mourning her late husband while forming a close bond with Cooper. Consequently, their story may end in heartbreak. At the very least, Cooper and Ariana won't have an easy journey, as Landman continues.
