Kidpool was a prominent variant of Dead Pool latest cinematographic release; now she's making her Marvel Comics debut with a mission that officially puts Spider-Man in your sights. Played by Inez Reynolds in the 2024 blockbuster Deadpool and Wolverinethe new young version of the Merc With a Mouth will be a hit on Earth-616, as she dukes it out with Peter Parker's Spidey and her own sidekick son.
Kidpool and Spider-Boy #1 – written by Christopher Yost with art by Nathan Stockman – is an all-new one-shot that sees the two youngsters team up, creating yet another updated version of the dynamic between Spider-Man and Deadpool with their childish counterparts. In the first preview, Kidpool is on a mission to eliminate Spider-Man, and Spider-Boy is the only thing in his way.
Although Kidpool was briefly introduced in the multiversal Deadpool Corps in the character's first appearance in Deadpool and WolverineHis jump into the Marvel comic universe officially gives him an exciting new connection to the Webslingers of Earth-616.

While there is still a lot to be discovered about this new version of Deadpool when he joins the comics, Kidpool's new one-shot with Spider-Boy gives her a mission that's in keeping with Deadpool's days as a mercenary antihero: kill Spider-Man. In the preview, Kidpool spies on Spidey and misinterprets all of his friendly neighborhood antics. Kidpool also notes that he received instructions to kill Spider-Man from “that trustworthy owl guy”, teasing that Daredevil and Spider-Man villain Leland Owlsley, aka The Owl, could be the main antagonist in this one-shot, at least after Kidpool and Spider-Boy's battle and banter.
Kidpool's real name and relationship to Wade Wilson's Deadpool are still entirely unknown at the start of the one-shot, but his new bond with Spider-Man establishes his rivalry and eventual partnership with his sidekick, Bailey Briggs, aka Spider – Boy. Since Spider-Boy is part of Marvel New Champions With the roster starring the next generation of Marvel's legacy heroes, the two young heroes' joining forces could put Kidpool in line to join as well. Although she now has connections to Spidey, Kidpool will also appear in 2025 Pooluminati One-shot #1 in a return to the Deadpool Corps, reminiscent of his film debut.

Continuing a legacy of legendary super enemies
The relationship between Spider-Man and Deadpool is so well established that Even its legacy heroes are replicating its classic dynamics for each new generation. Teenage heroes Miles Morales and Deadpool's daughter Ellie also recently teamed up and will continue to face off in an upcoming crossover between the Dead Pool and Miles Morales: Spider-Man series. As even younger legacy heroes recreate the iconic friendship, Kidpool and Spider-Boy's first meeting on their new team could establish a fun, ongoing relationship between the two kids as their stories continue to be developed in the Marvel Universe.
With Spider-Man's surprise appearance already teased as he becomes Kidpool's first target in Marvel Comics, Deadpool could also appear to officially welcome this fan-favorite character, Deadpool and Wolverine, to Earth-616.
Whether she's one of Deadpool's powerful children, like Ellie, or has an entirely different origin, more of Kidpool's secrets are expected to be uncovered when she enters Marvel continuity in her joint one-shot with Spider-Boy. With their water guns and Nerf darts, the predicted rivalry between Kidpool and Spider-Boy could evolve into a strong enemy relationship, reflecting the bond between the original heroes they are based on. With of Spider-Man surprising appearance already teased when he becomes Kidpool's first target in Marvel Comics, Dead Pool could also appear to officially welcome this fan favorite Deadpool and Wolverine character to Earth-616.

A sequel to the blockbuster films Deadpool and Deadpool 2, starring Ryan Reynolds as Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney's acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
