Keeley Jones has to come back for Ted Lasso Season 4 after her character’s horrible end

Keeley Jones was one of the best characters Ted Lasso To one of the most forgettable in season 3 and if the rumors about season 4 are true, I will be annoyed if Keeley doesn’t get a better script in the next one. The pilot of Ted Lasso Introduced a lot of characters so quickly that I had trouble keeping their names straight, a smart move by the showrunners to make us empathize with Ted (Jason Sudeikis), who just arrived in a new country and whose head was spinning even more Like mine.

One character I didn’t have trouble forgetting was Kiley JonesAnd not just because she is played by Juno Temple, which I remember first seeing in The Dark Knight Rises Trying to steal a watch from an intoxicated brother. Keeley is a sweet, smart, entrepreneurial character and the way she immediately took to Ted the same way I took to him, let me know she would be a character to pay attention to. And she was! Until halfway through season 3, when I got sick of what the show was doing to her.

Jack and Kiley’s relationship in Ted Lasso was toxic

Kili has grown past a character like Jack

Keeley (Juno Temple) and Jack (Jodi Balfour) smiling and looking at something off screen in Ted Lasso season 3 episode 9.

The trouble started with her relationship with Jack Danvers (Jodie Balfour). When Jack arrived in season 3 as the head of the venture capitalist firm that funded Keeley’s PR firm, I was really excited to meet this new, cool interloper in the AFC Richmond world. The fact that everyone assumed she was a person based on her name only made her introduction that much more funny. Far from being a controlling boss intent on changing the way Kiley ran her company, Jack was a strong advocate for Kiley’s vision.

Their mutual admiration and ability to work together eventually grew into a romance. One that Keeley was initially wary of considering their employer-employee relationship, but Jack waved off her concerns. It’s something I didn’t totally gel with when I first heard it but came to accept it just as a function of television storytelling. They have to get together, don’t they? Eventually, a leak scandal occurred and Kylie’s sensitive videos and pictures appeared on the Internet.

When Jack asked her to post an apology, Kelly refused. She wasn’t the one who licked them and, frankly, she wasn’t ashamed. As it turned out, Jack was, and her wish for a “professional” apology was also a way to force Keeley to apologize personally. Naturally, they didn’t last long after that, ending a frustrating couple of episodes for Keeley. When most same-sex relationships on television are depicted in a narrow dimension, often perfect and happy, It’s admittedly nice to see one that mirrors the many dysfunctional heterosexual relationships that make up most TV shows..

Jack sought her out, giving her gifts and experiences with her vast wealth and watching Kelly get wrapped up in the relationship, especially after experiencing so much growth with Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Jamie (Phil Dunster), was painful.

What bothers me is how Jack treats Kili. Jack sought her out, giving her gifts and experiences with her vast wealth and watching Kelly get wrapped up in the relationship, especially after experiencing so much growth with Roy (Brett Goldstein) and Jamie (Phil Dunster), was painful. Even Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) compared it to the difficult relationship she had with her ex-husband. Well, if you thought this was the toxic Rebecca, why didn’t you say something? Would save us all a lot of trouble.

Kiley should have made a definitive romantic choice at the end of Ted Lasso season 3

Keeley’s indecision reflects her character’s lack of agency

Just when I thought we got Killy out of the clutches of a draining “when will she choose” story, she gets thrown back into one almost immediately. I have always enjoyed the love triangle dynamic between Keeley, Roy and Jamie. One of the best episodes of Ted Lasso Features a very unique dynamic, but at some point, I really just need someone to make a decision here. I know that they are all great-looking, hyper-talented people and deciding who should date who may not be so easy, but a little more stability in the situation would have been nice.

I, like many fans, In my heart, it would be better if she ended up with RoyWho she always had chemistry with, but Jamie is also a great guy. In a progressive-minded show that didn’t have a single character raise an eyebrow about Jack and Kiley’s relationship, maybe the trio could have tried something a little more polyamorous, maybe an ENM relationship, a rarely explored relationship type in movies or TV .

For most of season 3, Keeley has been a character with her own will and agency, to one who is simply reacting to what others say and do to her.

Kili had to make a choice, and she just didn’t. The end of Ted Lasso Season 3 shows the three as friends, but doesn’t reveal what decision they all came to as far as relationships. For most of season 3, Keeley has been a character with her own will and agency, to one who is simply reacting to what others say and do to her. For my money, she should have decided not to be with Jamie or Roy. Why does she only get two choices, and why does it have to happen then?

So long, goodbye

Keeley is the head of a PR firm and Regardless of her past and the people she previously dated. Should Jack also show up quickly and throw her hat in the ring? Kili can do whatever she wants. In season 3, she wasn’t doing what she wanted, she was doing what someone else was pushing her to.

Juno Temple said she would like to return for season 4

Ted Lasso Season 4 has not been confirmed yet

Keeley (Juno Temple) and Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) hold hands Ted Lasso season 3

It’s beginning to seem more and more likely that Ted Lasso Season 4 may be officially confirmed. There’s been a lot of hopeful news coming out about the show’s return, but as someone who’s still sitting here waiting patiently for Mindhunter Season 3, I’ll believe it when I see it. Juno Temple made her stance perfectly clear on whether she would return to the show. When asked if she would return for a new season, Temple said (via ScreenRant),

“I mean, I hope so, but I don’t know yet. I just, I’ve heard that it sounds like it could happen, so that’s really exciting.”

If Temple is excited, I’m excited. Hopefully, she gets the chance to take on the role of Keeley soon.

Keeley’s storyline needs to be attached to the main plot in Ted Lasso Season 4

I want to see Keeley back involved with AFC Richmond

Keeley (Juno Temple) at Richmond HQ in Ted Lasso.

Another big problem with Keeley’s storyline in Ted Lasso Season 3 is that it felt somehow detached from the main thrust of the show. Her PR firm grew longer and beyond Ted, which meant less interaction with the cast. Keeley needs to come back into the fold if her return is going to mean anything. The end of Ted Lasso Season 3 hinted at Rebecca and Keeley starting a women’s teamWhat would be a perfect way to bring you back into the world of soccer, which is where Ted Lasso thrives.

She has to get her agency back, and if that means being on the back foot a bit when she tries something new, so be it. She has already mastered running a PR firm. Let’s give Keeley Jones a new challenge in Ted LassoAnd no, let’s not let this be the decision between two men fighting for her attention.

Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) is an American soccer coach who moves to England when he is hired to manage a struggling soccer team despite having no experience. With cynical players and a suspicious town, Ted will have to convince them that he’s up to the job. Ted Lasso became one of Apple TV Plus’ most successful shows, earning over 10 Primetime Emmys.
