A critically acclaimed thriller starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult is getting a VOD release. Known for The Talented Mr. Ripley and Cold Mountaintwo films that earned him Oscar nominations, Law has maintained an impressive catalog throughout his 38-year career. The actor currently leads the Star Wars: Skeleton Crew released on Disney+, a particular positive for the franchise in terms of audience receptionand has appeared in other major box office hits over the years, including Sherlock Holmes, Captain Marveland Fantastic Beasts. Law has also starred in fan-favorite romantic films Closer and The holiday.
When it comes to Hoult, whose star has been on the rise for the past decade, X-Men: First Class and Warm bodies seemed to kickstart his mainstream career. Since then, he has taken on several projects that have achieved commercial success and/or received public praise, reprising his role as Beast in several X-Men sequels and becoming a memorable part of the powerhouse Mad Max: Fury Road cast, where he played enemy-turned-ally, Nux. Hoult also starred alongside Elle Fanning in The Great, which earned him an Emmy nominationand appeared in the dark comedy The menu.

More recently, Law and Hoult were featured in The Orderan action thriller directed by Justin Kurzel and based on a true story. The film depicts an investigation surrounding bank robberies in the Pacific Northwest, which are believed to have been triggered by domestic terrorists. Along with Law and Hoult, who play Terry Husk and Bob Matthews, respectively, the cast includes Tye Sheridan, Jurnee Smollett, Marc Maron and Odessa Young. Released in theaters on December 6, The Order was praised and it currently holds a 90% critic score and an 89% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
According to Collider, The Order It will soon be available to watch via VOD. The release is scheduled for December 24thand the public will be able to buy or rent the film for the price of US$24.99 or US$19.99. This brings the true story-driven action thriller to home screens, just three weeks after hitting theaters in a limited release.
