Despite starring Joker: Folie à DeuxTim Dillon is decidedly not a fan of the film. The comedian, who played a security guard at Arkham Asylum, thought Todd Phillips Clown Corrected sequel in response to the first film’s controversy. Appearing in The Joe Rogan Experiencehe explained:

It’s the worst film ever made. I think what happened, after the first “Joker,” there was a lot of talk like, “Oh, that was loved by incels. This was loved by the wrong kinds of people. This sent the wrong kind of message. Male anger! Nihilism!” All these reflections. And then I think: “What if we went to the other side?” and now they have Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga tap dancing to the point where it’s crazy.

The actor then got more specific about his complaints Joker: Folie à Deux:

There’s no plot. We’d sit there, me and these other guys were all dressed in hazmat suits because we were working at Arkham Asylum, and I’d turn to one of them, and we’d listen to this crap, and I’d say, “What the fuck is this?” And they were like, “This is going to blow up, man.” I say, “This is the worst thing I’ve ever seen.” We were talking about it at lunch and we were asking, “What’s the plot? Is there a plot? I don’t know, I think he falls in love with her in prison?” It’s not even hate-watched. That’s how terrible it is.

Dillon doubled down and referred to the film as a “joke“, due to how much it deviated from the previous entry in the series. In response to host Joe Rogan’s question about whether the film was a protest, he said “it was a waste of everyone’s time – just make a good movie.
