Despite the box office collapse, Joker: Folie a Deux has just crossed an important milestone across the world. As the sequel to the $1 billion game changer Clown film, Folie a Deux it received extremely negative reviews and became a serious financial disappointment. The film reportedly has a budget of $190 million, which far exceeds the original’s $65 million, and has added Lady Gaga to the cast as Harley Quinn. It was released on October 4th.
After three weeks, Joker 2 finally surpassed the $200 million mark at the global box office, according to a report from The Numbers. The results were a disappointing total for the sequel, which only won US$57.8 million domestically and US$143.3 million abroad. Surprisingly, this news comes just days after it was announced that the film would be available digitally on October 29th. 4K UHD, Blu-ray and DVD copies will be available from December 17th.
