The second Superman film at DC Studios gets a significant update ahead of the DC Universe edition in 2025.
In a new report from VarietyJJ Abrams' future with Warner Bros. Discovery was further revealed as its “the team has quietly reached a more modest production pact with the studio that sources say will cover film and TV,” which also included an update on his Superman film. Although the script was written by Ta-Nehisi Coates, focusing on a Black Superman, the trade notes that “the project is still technically alive, but has not seen any progress since early 2023.” At the time of publishing this story, Abrams, Bad Robot, Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios have not commented on this report.
