In addition to White, the cast includes SuccessionJeremy Strong as Springsteen’s longtime mentor and manager, Jon Landau, Black BirdPaul Walter Hauser as guitar technician Mike Batlan, and Young woman and the seais Stephen Graham as Springsteen’s father. The majority of the film will be filmed in New Jersey and New York, along with additional production in Los Angeles. Check out Cooper’s comments about the film below:
Beginning production on this film is an incredibly humbling and emotional journey. Bruce Springsteen’s “Nebraska” profoundly shaped my artistic vision. The raw, unvarnished portrayal of life’s trials and resilience resonates deeply with me. Our film aims to capture that same spirit, bringing Warren Zanes’ compelling narrative of Bruce’s life to the screen with authenticity and hope, honoring Bruce’s legacy in a transformative cinematic experience. It was a great pleasure to collaborate with Bruce and Jon [Landau] as I tell their story, and their creative energy fuels every part of this journey. Also, I’m excited to reunite with my friend David Greenbaum [president, Disney Live Action and 20th Century Studios]as he embarks on his new role at Disney, adding another layer of inspiration to this project.
What does it mean to free me from nothing
The biopic is off to a strong start
White’s transformation into Springsteen has already begun with Deliver me from nothingProduction is already underway. For his work in The BearWhite has won consecutive Golden Globe, SAG, Critics Choice and Emmy Awards over the past two years and will no doubt deliver an equally memorable performance as Springsteen. Strong, Hauser and Graham further elevate the film’s cast, along with Mothering SundayOdessa Young as Faye, a formative love interest in Springsteen’s life, and Quantum LeapJohnny Cannizzaro as Stevie Van Zandt, member of the E Street Band.
“Nebraska” was a source of inspiration for a generation of artists and musicians, including how it inspired Cooper, which will contribute to his direction of the film, and his investment in telling this true story.
How Springsteen recorded “Nebraska” on a 4-track recorder in his New Jersey bedroom and without the E Street band, It’s fitting that production begins in New Jersey. In the decades since the album’s release, Springsteen has openly discussed the pivotal journey of recording “Nebraska,” which will come to life in the upcoming biopic. “Nebraska” was a source of inspiration for a generation of artists and musicians, including how it inspired Cooper, which will contribute to his direction of the film, and his investment in telling this true story.
Our opinion on the first image of Deliver Me From Nowhere
This could be Jeremy Allen’s white shot at an Oscar
Although it may be hard not to think The BearIt’s Carmy when she looks at White, he’s already starting to look like Springsteen with the plaid shirt and leather jacket worn in the first official image from the film. Once the film’s first trailers start rolling out, which is a long way off considering production has just begun, it will be easier to see White as Springsteen. After dominating the television awards circuit Deliver me from nothing It could be White’s chance to make her mark with an Oscar-worthy performance as well.
