What Jensen Ackles as Batman Art Means
Even though DC Universe casting for Batman hasn’t begun yet, Seeing pieces of art and concept trailers of Ackles as the new Bruce Wayne highlights how popular this idea is among many fans. Since The brave and the daring While the film is set to feature a version of Batman that is already established in this franchise, as well as the father of the yet-to-be-introduced Damian Wayne, having an established actor like Ackles play this role is very fitting. When it comes to landing a star as the next live-action incarnation of Batman, the DC Universe definitely has one of the biggest challenges coming its way.
Whoever plays Batman will be committed to the franchise for some time beyond just The brave and the daring, as the new DC Universe aims to be the equivalent of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With Ackles’ name always generating a lot of support when conversations about the DC Universe happen, Batman movie, it wouldn’t be shocking if Gunn and DC Studios were at least aware of this idea.
Given that The brave and the daring apparently won’t go into production anytime soon, Ackles’ chances at least aren’t closed, especially if DC Studios is still finalizing its vision for how Batman will be approached in the reboot. As David Corenswet’s popularity as a Superman fan appears to have potentially factored into his casting, it’s possible that Ackles’ consistent popularity could also allow him to at least be considered for the role.
Our opinion on Jensen Ackles as Batman art
While Ackles’ Batman casting chances for the DC Universe are up in the air, considering how many projects he has ahead of him, seeing fans still supporting this idea shows that his casting would definitely be well-received. Given his long-time work with Warner Bros. during his time in Supernatural and other projects, it would be a shame if DC Studios didn’t at least have Ackles as a primary consideration. But for now, time will tell if the actor will even get the chance to audition for The brave and the daring once DC Studios actually begins the casting process.
The Brave and the Bold is the first Batman film in James Gunn and Peter Safran’s DC Universe, which reboots the Dark Knight after Ben Affleck’s take on the character. It features Bruce Wayne’s son, Robin Damian Wayne, and takes inspiration from Grant Morrison’s work on the comic book character.
