Jennifer Love Hewitt speaks optimistically about her return to the I know what you did last summer restart the movie. I know what you did last summer was originally a 1997 slasher horror film starring Hewitt alongside co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar, Anne Heche, Ryan Phillippe and Freddie Prinze Jr. released in 2025. I know what you did last summer reboot recently confirmed the start of its production.
Speaking on a segment of I've never said this before with Tommy DiDario podcast (via The Hollywood Reporter), Hewitt addresses the chances of her returning to the I know what you did last summer restart. Check out Hewitt's full quote below:
“I’m possibly preparing for that. I'm so close to being able to say something exciting.
It was just scheduling and I've tried to make sure that if I come back to the franchise, I just don't want to be the ghost of the '90s past. I really want to do something and I want to be there for Julie James' fans. … I just want it to feel like, you know, if she comes back, it means something.
